kalon name: annabelle "annie" delaney
forest stroll story: ever since they moved into the shabby little fixer-upper in the middle of the woods, annie's parents demanded that she
get out of the house more often. it wasn't that she didn't want to. after all, they would just make poor annabelle stay out of their way anyways. but the thought of having all of that open space to herself... well, it frightened her. what if she got lost and couldn't find her way back? what if... she found something that she would rather have not found?
well... it wasn't like she had much of a choice.
with nothing to guide her, she set off on her journey along the worn path that had been laid out many moons ago. annie felt like she was being watched from every angle by curious eyes, yet there was no trace of any living being chasing her tail. paranoia, maybe.
eventually, the tattered path came to an end. there, annabelle found a lovely open field of small, yellow flowers. she sharply inhaled the sweet scent that the wind carried as she lazed in the meadow at the end of the path.
maybe, for once in her life, she had found a real home.

name. Caspian
The wilting forest rustled gently as the sun's final dying rays bathed the earth in golden fire; sending a parting kiss as it sunk into the depths of the horizon, the sky bruised into a dark purple at its departure. A frail, greying woman hurried briskly through the growing shadows, flowers blooming beneath her hushed footsteps, just to shed their beautiful petals and wilt. She broke into a clearing dimly illuminated in milky-white light, running towards a pool of swirling white water in the center. She fell to her knees, plunging her hands into the depths. White light flashed within her eyes, the brown grass slowly growing tall around her. Leaves floated back up from the ground, reattaching themselves onto branches as if they'd never left. Color began to seep into the woman's grey hair, her face lifting into youth. She collapsed backward, bird calls erupting around her as the pool dimmed, casting the clearing into darkness once again. The smell of smoke and oil disturbed the peaceful scene, sickly light brightening the sky into a dull grey from the soaring city buildings nearby. The forest was dying, as all nature eventually should do. But not like this. Not like this.
