Setting;
It's 1893.
cars have just been invented about ten years ago.
he lives in New York, NY, USA.

His home;
his house is a large two story and has a floorplan of the bottom floor opening up right into a single staircase with red carpet trailing down the oak steps. the walls are painted in a light coffee and cream brown with a delicate floral lace pattern on the wallpaper as well as being boarded by natural oak trim along the ceiling and floor. the first floor has a small open ballroom, with one bathroom, servants quarters, the kitchen and dining room. while the upstairs has the resident and guest bedrooms and two offices. there is one very small staircase into the attic which has been fitted with books as a study for his brother Ferris.

About Sol;
Sol is the son of a rich kalon. he likes in a very large house on a hill overlooking an expansive city. often times he will leave home just to see the sights. he talks long walks and enjoys watching the city go by. some of his favourite things about the city are the food and the street entertainers. he will give anyone on the street a few dollars and is known to be the guy to go to if you need money. he seems to know that the city is not a great place, it can be dangerous and dirty. but he doesn't entirely care. he happily goes wherever he pleases out their, disregarding his own safety. if someone seems to be in distress he will intervene. hes certainly not the type to be taken lightly. hes a very fit, strong kalon and can easily hold his own in a fistfight. while sword fighting is more of his speciality, he knows how to dodge and disable a gun-wielding crook. he doesn't even try and hide his identity like most vigilantes, he tries to simply be quick on his feet enough to outrun any cops that may try and arrest him for intervening. this doesn't always work however as he has had to be bailed out before. his father is never happy when this happens, but Sol is used to the lectures. he doesn't want money or fame for this he just wants to help people who need it, and it that means hes wrong then he doesn't want to be right. he, however, hasn't thought ahead enough to if someone goes after his family over these events. hes never been a planner, doing things at the moment and as they happen.

Favourite food;
as for food, his favourite food is a hot bagel with apple butter. a speciality of a small cafe and bakery on the corner of the street just near the end of his long driveway. its a small place but he loves everything about it from the bright colours to the fact that it always smells of yeast and bagels. whenever he goes there he talks to the staff for ages. he sometimes only goes there just to talk and has made friends with one of the cashiers. he often will go out to dance class with her. something she got him into in the first place. while hes not too great at dancing, he does it because she loves it, and he loves seeing her happy.

Favourite past times;
aside from hanging out with his cafe friend, he has a multitude of lessons and hobbies he spends his time on. some of his lessons taught by his father as well as people who work around the house for his father are things like fencing, clay pigeon shooting, painting, and more work-oriented things like business, accounting, basic math and English.

as for hobbies, some things fall into both categories, such as him enjoying painting and shooting and fencing. but he also tries to collect stamps and enjoys writing letters. he has a pen pal from Canada who he writes back and forth with at least once a week.

Who is his family;
he lives with his adoptive father Henry and adoptive younger brother Ferris.
the two are quite frankly the strangest kalons hes ever met. both being very invested in things like science and inventing.
his new father is someone he fears a little. the man can be strict and is big enough to intimidate anyone he wants to. but he does seem to care about Sol so he cants really blame him for being harsh when sol does what he does. hes alright with Henry.
as for his younger brother Ferris... its another story, the little kalon is creepy, always staring as if hes waiting for sol to mess up or something. the little kalon gives him feelings of just dread and he wants no part of him no matter what Henry's trying to tell him.

Sol also happens to own a house cat, her name is Elouise and she is Sol's baby girl. he brushes her fur almost daily and lots just being around her. she has an uncanny ability to sense when hes upset and will come to be cuddled, something he always enjoys. she doesn't mind being coddled or dressed in ribbons so long as its Sol doing it. she doesn't much like the others.


outfit;
his main outfit is a simple white suit shirt with a dark grey button-up vest on over that. he wears dark dress pants and hard leather shoes as well as his dark tie. he doesn't wear any jewellery usually aside from the shirt cuffs having gold clips on them.

SUMMARY
Looking at Ethan, you might assume him to be just another rich business man who enjoys flaunting his wealth and who was probably born with the largest silver spoon in his mouth imaginable. But just like in poker, appearances can be deceiving. Born a nobody who worked his way up in the military all the way to secret services, Ethan is nothing less than a specialist and a survivor. A man who never had it easy in his life, his hard-core attitude is a tribute to his past life’s many hardships. Although nowadays Ethan readily claims his wish is to sell out his government secrets and run corrupt chains of casinos, in the past he was a special operations spy who was apparently a loyal solider of his country and a vital part of a team. Before becoming a member of that special operations group, Ethan was broken and faking obedient loyalty in order to move up in rank at the intelligence agency. Once becoming part of the team, Ethan learned to open up and let his guard down a little; only to feel betrayed and even more alone when they didn’t understand one of his decisions. Reacting to the hurt he felt, Ethan built himself into the man he is nowadays: rich, influential, a traitor, and a completely corrupt businessman. He uses the information he collected on the agency and the government as blackmail to keep himself out of jail; his loyalty worth the price of the gold you give him and his emotional walls built up high. Ethan is a deadly weapon, a man you shouldn’t trust but whose help you might need to find what you seek. He might be charming but beneath his playful smirk is bitterness and a desire to fill the empty void he feels, although he claims to be pretty happy with his position in life right now.

PERSONALITY
A gruff, hard-core kind of man, Ethan is best described by the word “survivor” and all the damage, questionable morality, and emotional confusion that comes with that label. At a young age, Ethan faced a turbulent life which left him feeling broken and utterly alone in the world. Bounced around from foster home to foster home, he could never connect with the people around him in an intimate way which left him unsure of how to reciprocate or accept love, friendship, or loyalty from others even in his adult life. One thing he did learn quickly, however, was obedience. Being the only way to survive in high school and in the military he attended afterwards, Ethan quickly realized that this trait was key so he learned to adjust his behavior in order to act accordingly. Beating down the emotional turbulence within him or any personal ambition, Ethan focused on proving himself to his superiors which eventually made him someone important in intelligence work. During his time in special operations, Ethan was described as a “one-man-solution” and he felt perfectly comfortable without the need for cooperation and coordination with additional coworkers. Ethan was incredibly serious about his work, by-the-book to the dot. However, his recruitment to Team 036 changed his interactions with others much to Ethan’s personal disdain. Although he would actively deny this to this very day, working with a team gave him a new perspective on the missions he was sent on. Ethan began to feel like he had a cause to be fighting for and slowly, he learned to be more friendly and open with others. He began to think more of himself (be it that he always did have foundations for his elevated platform), enjoy letting loose sometimes, and allow himself to feel some of the emotions that crawled underneath the rock he hid them under.

The attachment he started to feel for his team were all the more painful for both Ethan and his newfound friends when they were divided through internal conflict. Following the team’s breakup and Ethan’s betrayal, he once again suppressed the emotional pain he felt about the event. Once again focusing on survival, Ethan betrayed, lied, and cheated his way from the legal system and the government that were out to imprison him. Once again he found himself alone in the world and focused on surviving to avoid the crippling feeling of self-blame that would overtaking him otherwise. He built himself into someone else once more, vowing to never again allow himself to grow close to so many people that can hurt him. Ethan closed himself off from the world emotionally once more, hiding behind his newfound success as an arms dealer and seller of information. He mimicked the traits of successful and seemingly happy affluent men: an air of the highest superiority, doing things only for self-benefit, and hoarding the wealthy they earn. These traits weren’t near and dear to him, however, Ethan felt obligated to execute this act to build himself into a more successful person, much like the obedience he used in his younger years. Ethan has and always will be a survivor with walls built up high around him. The only thing he has ever desired most was to make something out of himself. To find something that can make him feel less alone. His biggest fault is just that: seeking to fill the void with success rather than the emotional connections that he so detests.

BACKGROUND
Ethan grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else, especially the screw-up’s that cast shadows on this town’s otherwise superb society. Ethan’s parents were one of those outcasts. Addicted to everything on the planet; alcohol, prescription drugs, toxic relationships, etc; their only child was taken from them early on and placed into the foster care system. Although the people that took him really wanted to give him a better life, the only thing Ethan felt was abandoned, alone, and uncared for. He knew the reputation of his parents as well as his own, and felt it following him around like his shadow. Everyone seemed to expect him to crack, to break into a million pieces like a car that already had more miles than years on its altimeter. Feeling as though everyone expected his failure, Ethan closed up from others and refused to connect with anyone, even the people who desired to help him. He was bounced around from house to house which only emphasized his feeling of loneliness, of course, Ethan never assumed that it was his behavior that put people off, rather their own prejudices. In high school he was a loner who sat in the back of the classroom and never bothered with education or extracurricular activities. Ethan barely graduated, only being able to by the grace of a couple of teachers that would rather have seen him leave with a low D then return for another year. After high school, all Ethan wanted was to get away from the town he hated and wanted to burn to the ground. Signing up for the army, he proved himself skilled at shooting incredibly accurately from any distance. This talent as well as his seeming obedience, a trait he masqueraded, got him noticed by his superiors who recruited him for intelligence work. During his time in KIA (Kalon Intelligence Agency), Ethan was referred to as the one-man-solution due to his ability to infiltrate dangerous places, complete his missions to perfection, all without help or an extraction plan. He lived a life of excitement and danger, genuinely enjoying his work. However, his reckless behavior and failure to cooperate with others resulted in the wrongful deaths of multiple agents from his team of operatives for which Ethan was quickly blamed and tried for. Refusing to face punishments, Ethan went on the run, eventually blackmailing his way to permanent freedom. Nowadays, he deals in government secrets among other weapons, and pretends he's never been more happier with his life. In truth, he's never felt more alone and so without purpose as he does now, although he'll never admit that to himself or anyone else.
