Items; The black leg wraps are a soft brace for Orion's front and back legs, helping him with stability and keeping his fur clean (sort of). His dark brown leather vest is simply his style. The mechanic goggles are mostly a tool of the trade, but Orion tends to leave them shoved up into his hair whether using them or not. The black leather holster belt holds his blaster... and finally, the captain's bars have a story of their own, below.

WRITING;
"Aw, c'mon, be good to Daddy, just one last jump..." A stressed sounding voice pleaded from beneath a cover of uprising steam.
"Orion! We need you up here!" Called an even more angst-ridden voice from the cockpit.
"You're cap'n, figure it out!" Orion screamed over the chuffing, malfunctioning engine. This was his life. The mechanic (and part-time pilot) of a starship. Dang, he knew the ship better than it's own captain! "One - (wheeze) - last - jump!" Orion gave a final heave against the wedged wrench; and everything calmed down, the engine's sickly puffs subduing into a gentle, efficient whirr. "HA! Yes, there we have it! Someone get me a stabilizing unit? NOW?!" A silver, type three unit was chucked down at him, ricocheting off the lower vent area walls. Orion gave a low growl, and laughing was heard from above. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, ya tightwads." He muttered. "These things don't grow on trees, y'know! Even if they did, it ain't like we have many of those up here..." Securing the unit in place, Orion gave a secret sigh of relief. He jumped up out of lower engine room, and stomped down a hall into he cockpit. Pushing his mechanic's goggles up into his fluffy, sooty blue hair, and wiping his paws on a rag hanging from his belt, Orion turned. He stared, witheringly, at the young sweat-drenched captain sitting at the controls. "Do you have any idea what just happened?" Orion's deep voice almost cracked from fatigue and tension. The new captain shivered, and shook his head. He wasn't much younger than Orion himself, and Orion was rather young to be a senior ship member; but this kid was no captain. He was hardly fit to work the laser guns! "Our main engine was on the verge of a complete break-down, and you're worried about control? Kid, when the main engine's outta the picture, there's no control. Hey, you could be ramming into a moon for all I care, all that matters is that ya stay airborne. No flight, no ship, ya hear?!" Orion's tone was rising with every word.
The scrappy captain's eyes hardened."I'm cap' on t-this s-ship, an' you're a scruffy mechanic. I think I got au-authority." He tried to come off brave, but only managed to sound wimpier.
Orion gave a look that was halfway between a smirk and a snarl. "You know nothin' of me. Where I been, what I seen, who I met. I mighta seen one too many things in this galaxy, and this ain't new, kid. C'mon. Go ahead 'n' hand it over." He put out a paw for the captain's bars. The nervous-looking 'captain' licked his lips, staring down at the little metal bars pinned to his shoulder. In that moment, Orion, looking down at the shivering viscet, he saw an actual child inside. His green eyes softened, and placed that outstretched paw on the 'child's' head. "Someday, kid. Ya hear me? Someday you can fly."
