_____________________________________________________________________________________"Stop giving me the pity look" a young bean hissed at you, her voice low and her blue eyes showing almost no emotion. You backed off, averting your eyes. She sat down, her cold eyes staring unforgivingly at you although you've never met her before. "I'm just here to interview you." You say quietly. "I don't need an interview." She snapped, sliding you a thick folder. You open it to find neatly written papers, a smirk on her face. "Your names Katrina, that's a cute name." You compliment. "That's the name of the hurricane." She fired back. She smiled smugly, getting comfortable._____________________________________________________________________________________The Basics wrote:Name; Katrina

Katrina is rather scary to be around, commonly giving you what looks like a 'death' look. Because of this others find her frightening, so she keeps her talents, dreams, pleasures and frustrations to herself. She always hides her fears, keeping hen locked up in her brain so they could never come out, never happen again. While it takes patience to actually befriend her, it's worth it in the end. She gives her friends a sense of safety, protecting them when the time calls for it. She can't stand bullying, so she uses her bigger size to her advantage.
Her quiet ways is most likely aided by her harsh past and the want to prevent her past from happening to someone else, despite knowing she can't control what happens. Trin is that bean who you would find walking away from a group to go off and do her own thing without a word. She's the type of girl to sit and watch until something bad happens, or not even be there at all. This could also be the doing of her anti-social nature as well. She thinks to much about things, commonly leading her to go to her own little world in which she doesn't want to come out of.
A good trait Trin has picked up on happens to be her intelligence. She is an extremely fast learner, using her street smarts to get her through the hardships in life. She knows that the world can be a dangerous place, so she has to think before she acts. Thankfully, she is a quick thinker. It's as if her mind is a supercomputer and thinks of every possible escape route, ways to defend herself, and even the smarter things to do. The things she has picked up where she lived, however, aren't entirely good. She sees things all the time that older beans do, and being at such a young age when she saw these she thought they were okay.
Trin can be seen doing graffiti art or just painting in different places, using it to express her emotions. The art world is a place where she can go to escape the reality of the world and be her own self, using it as a safe haven to go when she needs it. Unfortunately, she doesn't realize what she does is wrong. She almost always sees beans of every shape and size doing graffiti on trains, or painting murals on walls in the alley. She picked up on this and thought it was okay. She can sometimes be found in an alleyway, 'expressing her emotions'.
She has been to countless foster homes, all ending up in the same way; back to the orphanage. They said she was trouble, that she would never find a home with the way she acted. Trin acts like she doesn't care, but every time she thinks about this, it stings badly. She tries very hard and hates being shot down by others. In the end she is just a bean who had a rough past and needs time to let it all go.

History;;"I am Trin, an unwanted mistake my parents made, I surprised them both. Unfortunately, I wasn't what they called a 'good' surprise. I was nowhere near what they wanted. I was named after the horrid hurricane that had injured many, and it's name was Katrina. A disaster. A horror. Once I hatched my father couldn't take it, he didn't want a child. He hung himself. My mother, after the loss of my father, started staying out later and later at night until she came home with bloodshot eyes and smelt of something nasty. I was actually content with life for awhile, and although gangs roamed the streets and trash blew around like a tumbleweed in a desert, I was living, and that's all that mattered. For awhile, life was dangerous, but good.
As I grew older- around age 4- my mom, well, she went insane. She would break things, mumble to herself and even hit me. Hard. I was sent to a hospital twice for a head trauma. I was terrified of her, and soon my savior a came. They were big, serious beans in a big black truck. They put me in their car and drove me away from my torture chamber. I was brought to a big place with beans like me, except they seemed to be cleaner and they seemed annoying in my opinion. I had my pretty awesome spiked collar on while thy had bows, rainbow charms and such things. I never got along with any of them.
I spent the next 4 years alone and isolated in my room. They tried to give me a hair cut I would simply bite them. They dared try to put a bow in I spit fire at them. They eventually gave up and my fur grew out, and to be completely honest I love it. I was never wanted by other adult beans, they would often go for the well groomed and playful, young beans rather than an eight year old. Then one lonely, quiet day two young beans- newly married- arrived. They didn't see me as a troublesome kid, or even pity me. They took me in with open, loving arms and gave me what I call home now."

- Romani background. Troupe (politically correct term?) mass murdered.
- repressed memories?
- "I'm so sleepy..."

That's all I've got... For now. *dun, dun, dun*

The Greek God of War, Conquest, and Violence.

It starts with a very traditional couple, in a very traditional family. This was a family of Jellybean Dragons, who were quite close-knit. However, there were certain expectations for each family member: to be talented, to be intelligent, to be expressive, and to be obedient. All of which contribute to their definition of normality.
They had a son, and what should have been a happy day, was one of confusion. This child was silent and peaceful, unlike most newborn children. The family repeatedly asked if the baby was unhealthy, but they received the same response each time. The child was healthy and well, though he had some odd behaviors from the very beginning. The family named the boy after a great Greek philosopher, Socrates, hoping that the history behind the name would influence the boy’s actions. However, the child never grew attached to his name, for the family often called him ‘boy’.
As a small child, Socrates took to learning rather than playing. When he spoke, his words were few with a hushed voice. His family grew less concerned, and more annoyed with the child. He was not the boy they had wanted, and their attempts to change him were seemingly futile. They found one way to make him become expressive, and that was to make him obey or be punished.

Ares is a seemingly apathetic lad, only showing emotion if he feels safe with said emotion or is confused by it. Since he has some trust issues due to his past, it isn't rare to simply receive grunts as responses from him. Ares is the kind of boy to bottle up his emotions until they snap, and this often causes his mood to be rather volatile. This child has developed some mannerisms since living with his adoptive father, such as clicking his tongue when annoyed and and biting his bottom lip when perplexed. These mannerisms help to display his emotions to those who have learned what they mean, all while he maintains a deadpanned tone in his voice. In actuality, Ares is unaware that these mannerisms display his emotions, so they develop rather slowly. However, he has yet to develop a mannerism for expressing fear. Therefore, only Ares knows when he is afraid. He openly expresses fear if he thinks he is alone, or if someone close to him coaxes Ares into showing his emotions so they may comfort him.

And so, the young boy found himself confused and emotionally hurt by his family’s actions. It was not rare for him to be locked in his room, when he simply wanted to read rather than socialize. Luckily, he had a few books on Greek mythology in his room. While he was far from understanding everything, he was able to learn tidbits about the deities in said books. There was one that caught his eye in particular, and that god was Ares, the god of war. Now, to say the child understood the concept of war would have been a blatant lie, but what he found so wonderful about the god Ares was that he was strong and even feared. Socrates, unknowingly, craved this strength. He wanted to be able to stand up for himself, even though he was a child. However, when he told his family that he wanted to be like Ares, he was met with anger and disappointment.
One night, when Socrates snuck out of his room to get a snack, he found his parents still awake at the dinner table. They were discussing something seemingly important, and while the child knew it was not likely that he would understand, a spark of curiosity, or fear, pulled him closer. Hiding behind the corner of a wall, he listened as his parents planned out something that would make his world shatter.
“We can’t keep him anymore, he’s not normal… we should have talked about this when the boy was a baby.”
“I know he’s not suitable for this family, we can contact the adoption agency in the morning.”

Darius - Adoptive father - The relationship between Darius and Ares is fairly simple, they give one another something they longed for but would not ask for. Darius already had an adopted son, though they first met when the younger bean was already a teenager. Darius never got to raise a child and be the proper father he wanted to be, while Ares never had a truly caring family.
Neige - sister-like figure - Neige and Ares have have a very close bond, starting back when Neige discovered the two males out shopping when she wanted to bother Darius. While Darius still finds Neige annoying, even he realizes that the relationship she shares with Ares is good and healthy. Ares will often go to Neige if he has a question or is worried about something he doesn't want to talk to Darius about, and he sees her like a big sister of sorts.
Ares has yet to meet other beans due to Darius' solitary nature.

Upon hearing those words, Socrates felt his heart break as tears welled in his eyes. Sprinting to his room, the pattering of his footsteps alerted his parents. Slamming the door shut, young Socrates’ mind stirred with worry and panic. He didn’t want to go to an orphanage; he wanted his family, even if they didn’t love him. However, that made him begin to wonder. Why didn’t they love him, and why couldn’t they accept that he wasn’t what they had expected? The creaking of the door opening caught his attention, and he saw his father slide in a box on the ground.
“Here, son, these are for you. Don’t worry about the little conversation, nothing is going to happen.” His father briefly explained, though his words held little emotion.
The child spent nearly an hour sitting on the floor and thinking, not daring to open the box. However, once he did, he was unsure of how to react. Within the box were two items. A spiked collar with a strange, moon-like pendant connected by a chain, and a small tail-band. While this was meant to be a gift, Socrates saw them as imprisonment. He knew of the Greek titan, Prometheus, who was chained to a rock as part of his punishment.
And so, young Socrates made two rash decisions that would change the course of his life. Packing what little things he was attached to and adorning himself with the gifts from his parents, as some sort of statement, the boy also chose a new name for himself. Ares, after the god he admired, was his new name. Ares ran away as quickly as his legs would go, even while knowing he could easily end up like the many other homeless children.

Part Four :: [Final History Segment]
It didn’t take long for Ares to run out of food and water, and soon he was left wondering if he would survive. He left his family, and they wouldn’t want him back, so he was simply alone. However, one odd adult happened to come across the young boy one fateful afternoon. This man was Darius, a Jellybean Dragon with a permanently young body and the mind of a middle-aged man. Now, Darius had never been the kindest of beans, in fact, he was regularly described as grumpy or violent. However, while he would never openly admit it, he hated to see young beans suffering.
Darius had come across Ares, who had simply glanced up at him before returning to silenced crying. Darius, for some reason, felt empathy towards the child. Going against his better judgment, Darius sat down beside Ares and listened as he sniffled and cried. Once Ares was tired out from crying, Darius saw a part of himself in the boy. That part of him was tired of being judged for being different, since he was always going to be somewhat small, but had massive horns.
“Hey, kid, are you alright?” The elder bean inquired.
“I don’t know… I’m lost, and momma and daddy don’t want me…” he mumbled, voice tired and spent from crying out of loneliness and confusion.
“Well, ah…” Darius began, though was at a loss for words. Taking a few moments to think, he sighed softly. “Look, kid, I’m not keen on having kids around, but… if you want, you can stay with me for a little while, until we find someone to take care of you. My adopted son would probably do a better job at handling you than me, but his job would get in the way…” the older bean grumbled, knowing he probably sounded like some creepy adult. However, his intentions were pure, as he simply wanted the boy to find a good home.
In the end, the two outcasts headed towards the same location. Darius knew he wouldn’t be able to handle a child very well, but he wanted this kid to have a better chance at a normal life than he had. Together, they built a new life and home for Ares, but over half of a year later, the time came to when Darius knew Ares needed to be adopted by someone.
When the two arrived at the adoption center, Ares felt abandoned and alone once again. That is, until Darius was the one filling out adoption papers. After that day, Darius had a second son, and Ares had a family that cared about him.
