It is unique somehow in its taste, something that always reminds him of special Halloween, the holiday that his foriegner parents were okay with somehow, the idea of a day he fell in love with.

There isn't anything brilliant to this story, October was not born in a Country where Halloween is dominant or known at all, by anyone. When he moved to a Western country at the age of seven he got to experience Halloween in all of it's wonder and found the candy isle change colour when October came around.

-- The only time he could get these special treats was at the time of Halloween, since they are such trademark sweets just like candy canes on Christmas, but also because his parents weren't always so open to such celebrations and usually wouldn't buy him things that were holiday related. But Halloween was different. Halloween was special, what they fell for since that first year taking him around in the afternoon to chirp "Trick or treat!" And it is truly a Halloween treat above all, so candy corn and its marvelous taste stayed with him. Can't help it.
