favorite thing about summer: The family road trip!
Every summer; for the first two weeks of august; me, my sister, my mom, and all the junk we bring with us, is all crammed into her small car. My sister plays on her Ipod or Ds in the back, my mom drives; occasionally providing a witty remark that causes a hilarious conversation, and I'm our navigator. As navigator, I make sure my mom doesn't turn off the highway early, and try my best to prevent us getting lost; this job keeps me in the passenger seat, so I'm also in charge of music.
When I don't need to direct my mom, or find a good song, I'll either read, draw, or attempt to nap.
We've been to some amazing places during our road trips, Writing on stone park, Disneyland, the San Diego zoo, to San Francisco, up the Oregon coast, and even to a potato museum in Idaho.
Our road trip has us on horrible hours, but we're never actually exhausted until we get home. By that time we're sick of being on the road, eating sour keys and popcorn, sleeping in motel rooms that are either haunted or where someone was murdered (or so my mom says), seeing mutant marshmallows (don't ask), and merrily singing 'Home for a rest' by Spirit of the west, as loud as we can, incredibly happy to see the familiar landmarks near where we live.
Our road trip is always the best part of my summer.

What Ri loves about summer the most is spending a lot
of time with her friends and getting the summer away from
school work and other stresses. She likes to sit down on a
beach and play with her friends until the sun goes down, that's
when her favorite activity comes in. She loves watching the
sunset on a beautiful beach watching the waves crash down
and soaking in the beautiful colors and the salty air. Sometimes,
when she's really lucky, she'll be able to see her favorite animal,
a dolphin, in the water. If she had it her way, she could relive
those moments in time all of her life.

favorite thing about summer:
The gorgeous sun sets, camping, going out late with friends anywhere and everywhere, the sounds that fill the night, starry nights, the hot days to swim and cool nights to lay in the welcoming grass, the smell of mowed grass, peaceful mornings, having all the time in the world, and being able to wear my sundresses. i like a lot of things about summer, tho its not my favorite season, it is my second favorite :3
my favorite things about summer aren't the "big picture" stuff, its the little things that make it special to me, like making new memories with my friends/family to treasure and remembering the old ones that i already made.

Using fruits and water balloons as targets. He enjoys watching them explode. He throws knives, ninja stars, and tomahawks, as well as shooting at them with guns, crossbows, and bows. If it's a weapon, he's interested. Often his target practice pays off during paintball and airsoft wars, when he uses his honed skills to lead his team to victory.

When I was about five or six, I moved away from Michigan with my mom to a southern state. My dad still lives up north. Every summer, I get to come back and visit him for about a month. This is my absolute favorite thing about summer. My dad is so unbelievably important to me. I cherish every summer I get to spend with him; every moment of every day of this season. I look forward to the summer for different reasons that all my peers. My friends look forward to time off school, visits to the beach, long nights with friends, and days full of fun. I look forward to visiting my father. Unlike my friends, I don't have the luxury of seeing my dad whenever I want to. Whenever I need him, he can't be there. I wish it were different, but life doesn't always go your way. This is why the summer is so important to me. As I grow older, I'm not going to be able to visit as much as I could before, due to college and work. I am cherishing this year with him, as I have no idea when I'll next see him. My father. The most important person in my life. I am so thankful for my summers with him. These visits I get are without a doubt my favorite thing about summer.

My favourite thing about the Summer is the good weather that (usually) comes with it. Sunshine and heat normally means being able to surf, eat ice lollies, swim in the sea... All my uncle's favourite things. We shared them together had used to do it all together. This is my first Summer that I won't share with him, but is will always remember him <3
