Shadowshine looks to find animal tracks in the winter! The snow allows him to see them a lot more clearly. As the years went on, he knew how to identify mice, rabbit and vole tracks. Birds were always more fun to figure out because there was no real way to determine the smaller birds. He's gotten his guesses correct on birds at like 11 times!

Now that he was in the forest, he loved to try to figure out all the new tracks that he encountered. It wasn't until the winter that he realized there were deer in the forest with them! He followed the tracks to a herd and he got to see a baby deer.

The other tracks he liked to try to identify were the tracks of his clanmates. On his days off, he would follow them into the forest to see if he can figure out who's who. Everyone was weirded out by it until he was able to use his knowledge to find Owlpaw who got lost out in a snow storm.
