For this pup? Never has been. She's always had to deal with strange occurrences in her life. First, her patterns, as they brightened and became more striking, showed more obviously that something was.... off. Her parents were normal. They didn't look like her. When they had a dark little black pup, they were confused but didn't assume much. Then she grew her patterns. They had her looked at but she seemed to be a normal pup. Then her teeth grew. And they grew and grew and grew, until they were like fangs, protruding out of her mouth in an unnatural way. Of course, this lead to teasing. A lot of it. But Kelebek never cared, she didn't feel ashamed for her beautiful patterns. Besides, they were just jealous that she stood out. Then, finally, when she became an adult, she truly knew why she looked so different when she found her parents frozen, cursed. She tried many a time to free them to no avail. Finally, she decided she wanted revenge. So, now, she hunts for the witch that took her parents, and as she stalks along in the night, her patterns glow. Is everything as it seems? Well, let's just say those lights you see outside aren't from trick-or-treaters. (210/1000 words MAX)

A lot of college work has been suddenly dropped on me for this coming week, and I likely won't be able to keep track of the competition and close it Monday. Judging would also have been delayed till sometime next week, so I'll be giving one final extension to October 22nd at 7:00 PM PST.

Matreats - Unfortunately your form did not follow the extra limits by using both 1 artwork and 1000 words, as they cannot be combined. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading about Chouko, Renkuda, and the kingdom! You used such interesting imagery and you left me wondering what will happen next with Chouko and how Renkuda will handle her future outbursts.

Mango - I really enjoyed reading your piece about Cienkam interviewing Kazimir and the unique twist you incorporated into it. The way you wrote it caught my attention and I'm intrigued to know more about this mysterious, almost empty individual (I also quite liked the quote at the beginning and how it may connect to Kazimir)!

Your entry was so well written and the imagery was gorgeous! I just wish there was more to it and about Eventide - however, I felt pained for Eve's memory flashes and her haunting past. Events took an unexpected turn, and kudos to you for that!

The intro to your entry caught my attention and the coding looked neat as always! My curiosity was piqued with Cendrillon's connection to Hell and its demons, and the fire she possesses within her paws. Her one-sided relationship to the hellfire and her character showed through clearly to me as I read through the entry. I could feel how incredibly tense the interaction was between her and Xingfeng. Congrats!
