Story about halloween:

One Halloween, Agrona wanted to run her own haunted house. It all started when she overheard her friends Magnus and Lucky discussing their plans for Halloween.
"I'm going to hand out candy to the kiddies for a bit before heading over to that haunted maze. I didn't get to go last year," said Magnus.
"Hey, mind if I go with you? I haven't been to that yet. I always get there right after they stop letting new people in," said Lucky.
"Well, maybe if ye didn't try and go to
every Halloween themed event on
Halloween night, you might make it in time," Magnus sighed dramatically.
This caught Agrona's attention. She was perched up in the tree above her friends. Well... That was true, Lucky did try to go to everything in one night. She had also completely forgotten what she was going to do in the tree. Oh well. She leapt down from the tree. Lucky whirled around.
"Where did you come from?! Nevermind, I don't want to know," he said.
Magnus looked at her, a twinkle in his eyes,"So, what are you you doing for Halloween this year? Scaring kiddies, again? Or maybe crashing as many Halloween parties as possible, again?"
She smiled at the mention of her past exploits, but shook her head. An idea began to form, "No, this year I'm going to turn my home into a haunted house."
Her friends both "ooo'ed". Magnus even offered to help. Lucky had to go; he had an early shift in the morning. Agrona and Magnus walked to a local diner to make plans while they ate. The planning mostly consisted of Agrona making ideas and Magnus shaking his head or gasping at how much it would cost to make those things. While they were planning, Agrona noticed a man posting something on the bulletin board. She walked up and read it.
The Best Haunted House In Town! Different Routes Available!
Magnus walked up behind her and read the poster over her shoulder.
"Huh, seems like we aren't the only ones doing a haunted house this year. Well, that means we'll just have to step up our game," he said.
There was no more arguing about cost that night. Agrona looked around the store. Magnus was pushing the cart reading off their list while she grabbed materials. The only issue with materials was the glow paint. Everywhere they checked, it was sold out. Agrona nearly wailed on the poor managers when they told her they wouldn't get any shipments until after Halloween.
"It looks like we will have to use something else, I know you had your heart set on the glow in the dark paint-" Magnus continued talking while Agrona sat pouting in her living room. Then she remembered, there was one place they hadn't checked yet.
She was up and out the door before Magnus could blink. Luck would have it, her painter friend had some glow paint they were willing to part with.
They spent the next week putting things together, making fliers, and setting up their various costumes. Instead of doing alternate routes, the house would be different each night. Agrona felt a sense of pride when she placed the flier for her haunted house next to the poster of the other one. One week until Halloween. Magnus shrugged into his first costume and put on the mask. He was a reaper bird, complete with a scythe; he would wander around the house and frighten people. Jean, the painter, would go into the house if anyone was lost. They were dressed as a clown, their idea, not Agrona's. Agrona was dressed as a bloody pirate; she manned the entrance.
It was slow the first hour, trickles here and there of small groups, and then Lucky showed up with a group of eight. He left grinning. At first they were all confused. Then it happened again, Lucky showed up with a large group, directed them to her house, and left. It wasn't until it happened for a third time that they all realized what he was doing. He was going out and bringing people to her house. The large groups of people had Magnus worried that they'd run out of candy and treats to hand out before they closed.
Somehow, they made it by going into the spare bag of candy. Lucky walked up after they shut down for the night. He had a huge grin. Jean had volunteered to go and get more candy. They were unloading their car when he walked up.
"So, ya'll had a successful night, tonight?" he asked.
Magnus came out, "Oh yes, we had to use tomorrow's candy. We decided to stock up on a lot more candy."
When Agrona saw him, she ran to him and nearly squashed him with excitement. The rest of the week went smoothly until Halloween night. Magnus was going to the maze. Agrona needed one more person to help her, but no one wanted to help. Everyone was busy. She was worried she wouldn't be able to run it on the night of Halloween. Lucky was standing at her gate, waiting for her.
"So, I heard you needed help tonight," he said.
"Yeah, I do. I'm not sure if Magnus's costume will fit you-" she was interrupted.
"No, I will take care of the entrance. You do what you do best, make mischief in the dark," he grinned.
As she was getting into her final costume, and helping Jean with theirs, she wondered
why Lucky was so intent on helping her. She'd ask him after. She enjoyed stalking people in the dark and scaring them. Maybe it was the fake blood on her vest. When it ended, she asked why Lucky had helped her so much.
"Oh, I bet that you would have the best haunted house," he said, then he pulled a string and a huge pot of glow paint tipped over all over Agrona.
Magical MagnusArona was sitting upside down on her couch. She was waiting for a phone call. Specifically, a call from Magnus. He had been practicing, and wanted to show her and Lucky how far he'd gotten. She flipped over to her belly as she watched the phone, nose tucked over the couch's arm. She swished her tail back and forth, then rolled over onto her back again. She watched the old grandfather clock on the wall.
When the phone rang she jumped and fell off the couch, then scrambled to grab the phone. She was panting when she answered.
"Hello, this is Agrona," she said, trying to remain calm in case it wasn't him.
It was him, "Lucky is coming by to take you to where we're meeting tonight. Bring a coat, or a blanket, just something to keep you warm. It's chilly. See you-" he hung up abruptly. She could hear the nervousness in his voice, which was hard to do.
She didn't want to wear anything, but looking outside she saw the snowflakes drifting lazily to the ground. She grumbled as she grabbed her jacket, scarf, and a waterproof sleepingbag just in case to wrap herself in; the few snowflakes outside could quickly become a raging storm. After she got all her things together she waited on her back step for Lucky. She didn't have to wait long.
Lucky came stomping into her backyard. He was more bundled up than she was. His grumpy expression melted away when he saw her. The greeted each other, and were off. He didn't say anything about the sleepingbag. Lucky told her that the meeting place was a two hour hike. That explained his boots. She groaned internally.
The snow was still falling lazily, but it was thicker now. They walked through the trees. After awhile, they started to get larger, and more deeply spaced. The evergreens blocked most of the light from reaching the forest floor, it was bare except for the litter of needles. There were banks of snow here and there where a deciduous tree grew; snow falling through the winter bare branches. Jagged stone started to appear, coming up through the ground like great beasts in water. Lucky started to outpace her when they came to a cliff of sorts. The trees were so high you couldn't see it from town. She hadn't been this far up the mountain before.
Lucky approached the cliff, and she stood still watching him. Then, he promptly left her sight behind a bit of stone. She hadn't noticed it before, it blended in so well with the cliff-face behind it. She walked up to where Lucky had vanished, and found that there was a cave. It was dry. The kept walking through the cave. Her feet were starting to get sore. The floor started to get steeper. The cave opened up from the forest floor. She walked out and saw that Lucky was still walking determinedly in one direction. She sighed. Magnus' show better be a good one, otherwise she was turning tail and heading home.
She sighted Lucky standing near a tree. She walked up next to him, and saw him staring at something. She followed his gaze. There was a clearing where one of the giant trees once stood, it was now lying on the ground. It looked recent; only a few months old at the very most. And there, sitting on top of the great trunk, was Magnus. Even from this distance she could see his grin. Then, the lights appeared.
Balls of electricity danced through the air, sparks arcing between them. They danced through the chilly air as the snow fall came to a stop. Looking up into the blackness of the giant trees, she knew that no one else would be able to see this display. She looked back down and then more light appeared, this time as something like a miniature aurora. The light moved lazily through the air, shimmering in a multitude of colors. It weaved in and out through the towering trees.
She watched in awe. This was
nothing like the barely controlled releases she had seen before. This was controlled, somehow more organic, and beautiful. Then all of the lights disappeared except for three; two of those bobbing in front her and Lucky, the other above Magnus. The light glowed over him, and she could tell he was as bundled up as they were. The light in front of her began to move, and she followed it towards Magnus. When she came to the great trunk, she tossed the sleeping bag up; she need both hands free to climb.
When she got to the top, Magnus had already unfurled the sleepingbag. She went and curled up next to him. Lucky came up huffing behind her. Ha, those boots didn't help him here. The bark was strangely smooth, as if it had been worn down. When they were all curled up under the blanket, the lights reappeared and began to dance again. They were mesmerizing. She didn't remember falling asleep.
She woke up in her bed. Someone must've carried her, but she didn't know who. She heard Magnus' and Lucky's voices drifting into her room. She crept out of bed quickly and quietly. A moment ago she had been sleepy, but now she was awake. She slinked down the hall and halfway down the stairs. Most of the lights were off; only the kitchen light glimmered underneath her as it shone through the hall. She heard them padding closer, and she tensed her body to jump. She leapt down in front of them, howling. Magnus jumped so much he lost his balance and fell to the floor and Lucky smacked the wall. She cackled while they glared at her.
She was still laughing softly when she went to go back to bed. They shouted their grievances behind her, she chuckled. However, it wasn't enough for them to shout their grievances. After she thought that they'd left, they followed her up the stairs; as quietly as she had snuck on them moments before. Right as she turned around to shut the bedroom door they tackled her to the ground. She yiped in surprise. The trickster had been tricked, yet again.
