A Quick Lesson on "Mercy wrote:What is the definition of mercy? Well, according to google, it's "compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm." But, well, according to Turett, it's a way to live. It's a thing to be. It's the best thing in this world, the biggest thing he loves about this world. So, after the encounter with the stars, he decides that he will become mercy. His name is still Turett, but his title is now "Turett, The Mercy-Giver". Even though he is still a villain, he is now a merciful villain. He does not kill, he only wounds. He dishes out pain, but never death. So, all in all, The Mercy Giver, not only gives mercy, but lives in it.
Sincerely,
M.Z.M.
A Small Pondering wrote:I sat on the cold slate, looking up at the sky. Ever since I had been overcome with... with Mercy, I began wondering. Why didn't all humans show mercy? Obviously, it was the best quality any of them had, but they still refused to show it to each other. Mercy is their only hope to continue as a race. If they show mercy to each other, it will teach others how to use it. And then those others will show it to the environment, and the world will be safe. But that is not what they do. Instead of taking advantage of the fact that they can show mercy to anyone, they take advantage over the fact that they are stronger then all of the other creatures. They destroy their homes, slaughtered thousands, and eat them, out of their own whims. They have so much power to give mercy, but instead they use it for evil, they tear apart, and they break fragile things that were being held in balance. But now, the scales are tipping. There is no more careful ecosystem, because no mercy has been shown. The weight is now all on the humans. There are too many of them. They have not shown mercy to the earth and respected her limits, instead taking all that they can until there is no more left.
However, there is still hope. It always amazes me that no matter how deep a whole the humans have dug for themselves, they always try and climb out. See, there are a few of them that are still good. They still give mercy whether it is necessary or not, no matter who it is. See, I made sure of it. How? Well, I am the Mercy-Giver, no? But not even my kind can outlive a species as... As multiplying as humans, so i made sure that others knew the art of mercy as well as I did, so they could pass it down in their family. And now, I can see the world for what it really is; hundreds of people, fighting to stay alive. Even those with the most power are weak, because they only know how to push others down, not help others get up. but why, you may ask, would you want to pulll others up with you? Well, if others are on the same ground with you, you can ask them for help. And if they say yes, they can boost you higher than you ever would have gotten on your own.
