Elam is a very reserved character. He is often found either reading books or hanging out in the back of the room with a small group of five friends. At times he will become very energetic. Usually because he is either excited about the current book or book series he is reading at the moment or if someone hurts one of his friends. He doesn't make friends very easily because he learned to choose wisely. The reason he can't choose many friends is because he is scared that they won't like him ever again if they got in a fight.
