"I may be blind, but I can still throw a punch."Kalon Name: Bentley (Ben;; Agent B;; Sir)
Gender: Male
He/she is blind! What happened?: Throbbing pain. No, worse then throbbing. Stabbing, burning pain throbbed through Ben's eye sockets. It felt like they were on fire. What happened? Why couldn't he see? He could hear thousands of voices blended together, feel the rough ground, taste the stingy air, but he could see nothing. Only darkness clouded his vision. Trying to get up, he shrieked in pain. His side burned like flames, but not nearly as bad as his eyes. "Hello? Someone, help!" He hated calling for help, it was demeaning and wasn't something he did very often. With his kind of occupation, he had to fend for himself, but now he had no choice. "Help me!" Rushed pawsteps padded past him, but no one stopped to help. Why wouldn't his vision clear?
Then it all came back to him.
Suddenly it was 6 hours ago, and he was hanging upside down on a rope. "Never!" Ben yelled defiantly. A dark figure circled around him in a frustrated manner. "Talk you idiot," the voice said, but Ben shook his head. "I'd rather die." He had risked too much to protect the vital information for the organization. To come all this way just to give it up to some insignificant wannabe would be stupid.
The figure grinned in the darkness and chuckled evilly. "Fine. Have it your way." He raised a clawed paw and slashed Ben across the cheek, but Ben didn't even break a sweat. He's dealt with pressure before. However, the kalon before him wasn't finished. "Carlo!" Another kalon popped his head in the metal door, letting in a stream of light. "He's all yours." The dark kalon left the room while Carlos entered, carrying a black briefcase. It wasn't long after that when the pain started.
Now back in the present, Ben breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn't spilled the information, but at what cost? Very slowly, he touched his eyes with his paws, then yelped. Red liquid tricked down his paws. His eyes were destroyed. "I-I can't see," he whispered to himself, then yelled in agony, "I'm blind!" His sight...how could he live without it? Would he ever be able to go back to his thrilling, dangerous life as an agent? He sobbed and his shoulders shook, but no tears rolled down his cheeks. Ben couldn't remember the last time he'd cried. Maybe he should have done it more often. Now, he would never be able to feel the wet droplets on his face again.
After about an hour of torturous weeping, he stopped suddenly and felt around the ground. Grabbing a dirty cloth, he tied it around his eyes and stood up. He may have lost his sight, but he would not lose his dignity. Ben would find a way to deal with this new disability. Blindness was just a new enemy that he would fight his way through.
So what does he do now?Bentley used to work as an elite spy for an organization called the "QDA". After he was blinded on his last mission, they prohibited him from going out in the field and keep him cooped up in HQ. Of course, Ben was furious. Spying is his life. After much convincing, he was able to persuade them to allow him to train new agents. He's a pretty tough teacher, and can be pretty mean at times, but in reality, he just wants to prevent anymore people from meeting his fate.
