    ...Username:;...
    SilverCrescentMoon
    ...Name:;
    Jack Henson
    ...Gender:;
    Male (Heterosexual)
    ...Personality:;
    To most plumerians, Jack is cold, sarcastic, and isolated. He keeps to himself for the most part because he has difficulty connecting with people. But when he's with his brother, Ari, his real personality shines through, and he doesn't try to hide it. Jack feels he can be himself around Ari. His true personality is a fun-loving, curious, adventurous, friendly guy who likes to try new things. One of the only other few times he feels he can be himself is when he's around kids. Just watching them brings him joy.
    ...History:;
    Being the 'embodiment of wind, snow, and ice' has its ups and downs. At a young age, Jack was already harnessing his powers and causing trouble. He and Ari would often go out and mess with the snow, since it snowed a lot in Anchorage, Alaska. During the summers, however, Jack would get quite drowsy and have to stay inside, away from the sun. Its even more difficult since in Alaska, its light outside almost 24/7 in the summer, and in the winter, its dark almost the entire day. His strange habits and odd magic caused a rift in the relationship with his parents. They never talked to him, or spent time with him, and he knew they thought he was weird. They only loved Ari, and even then they were a little shaky. It seemed they just weren't cut out to be parents. The only thing they really ever taught him was to hide his powers. Of course, he didn't listen at first. Having trouble in his home life caused his social life to break as well. Jack started to shut people out, only keeping close to Ari. After an incident, his use of magic in public halted also. It happened on the playground, when a mean kid started picking on him. Jack let his anger get out of control and he temporarily froze the guy in ice. After that, everyone just seemed to be either afraid of him, or manipulative of him. Around the age of eleven, he decided to leave home. His parents were ashamed of him, all the other kids were afraid of him, and he had been expelled from the elementary school. So he bottled up his positive, playful, curious personality and replaced it with a new one. No longer would he let anyone get to him. Ari wanted to come along too, and at first Jack was reluctant. But then he realized he didn't want to be completely alone, so who better to travel with then his brother, and friend? So now they travel the earth, following the cold winds and snow. Of course, Jack opened up to using his magic again, but is more careful with who sees.

    ...H o b b i e s : ;
    Jack is pretty laid back when you get to know him, so he's cool with anything. But among his favorite hobbies are ice skating (even if he is ironically pretty bad at it), playing the guitar, and entertaining little kids.

    Ice Skating

    Ever since he was a young plumie, Jack has been fascinated by the art of ice skating. He would always watch other kids skate on the neighborhood lake when it was frozen over, but was too afraid to try it himself. But the pull was too strong. He had to try it out for himself. So late at night, he woke his brother Ari and the two snuck down to the lake. Over time, Ari taught Jack how to skate. Unfortunately, Jack was terrible at it, but he took great pleasure in the activity anyways! Just a small warning. Never bring up the fact that Ari is better then Jack at skating. It brings up a long, worn out argument that ends with no resolution, and it isn't very fun to sit and listen to.

    Guitar
    Not long after Jack and Ari left home, they came across a small, rickety, wooden building. Ari was so cold that Jack reluctantly agreed to stop inside for a while. Never has he regretted the decision to go inside that shop. It was a music store. Every single inch of wall was taken up by an instrument. Drums, guitars, triangles, even a couple kazoos! While Ari warmed up, young Jack browsed the store. Curiously, he trotted up to a guitar and strummed it casually. Though out of tune, the sound was beautiful. "Fancy that one, eh, little fella?" The shop owner inquired. Jack nodded eagerly, and the old plumie sighed. "Why don't you go ahead and take it? My treat." Jack was awestruck. He repeatedly asked the guy if he was sure it was alright, but he was positive. With a smile, Jack carefully picked up the guitar along with a beginner's guide. He had never received such a wonderful gift before, and he has never forgotten it. Sadly, the very same guitar was destroyed in a sledding accident a couple years later, but every time Jack gets his paws on a guitar, he has to play it.

    Kids
    Jack has always loved kids. Well, after he got a little older, anyways. Instead of seeing them all as mean little brats like the plumies from his childhood, he sees them in a more innocent light. They are just kids after all. They are so innocent, and don't know the world for what it really is. Because of this, Jack loves to be around them. It brings out the softer version of himself. He doesn't come across many during his travels, but they stop by a park or frozen lake every now and then.

    ...L i k e s : ;
    ~Snow
    Besides the obvious reasons about him having full responsibility over the snow and wind, Jack loves this beautiful weather. Not only is it wonderfully cold, but its fun to jump in as well! Snow is the best. Making snow angels and snow-plumes, forts, snowball fights, sledding, ice skating, and just watching the crystals fall from the clouds. He also feels that without snow, ice, and wind, he would lose a huge chunk of his soul. Its like he is connected to the season itself.

    ~Winning
    At what, you may ask? Anything and everything. A race, a puzzle, a staring contest, it doesn't matter what the activity. Jack has to win, and when he does, it feels so good.

    Image
    (by Leethebees)

    ~Food
    Who doesn't? Pie, Caesar salad, and milkshakes are among Jack's favorites. Just don't bring out any meats. He'll probably gag.

    ~Hailey
    Hailey is Jack's snowy owl companion -and the only girl he has ever really associated with. She is a very loyal owl, but is also irritatingly demanding. Among her favorite treats are mice and small rodents, which Jack hates to watch her eat. Not only are they meat, but they are living creatures! Besides that horrible concept, Jack loves her to pieces. Sometimes the owl goes off on her own to hunt or explore, but she always comes back.

    ~Books
    They keep Jack entertained on long, windy nights when he and Ari are resting at a motel in between trips. Novels that have kings and queens, knights and nobles, and sword fights are his favorites. His all-time favorite story ever is Treasure Island.

    ...D i s l i k e s : ;
    ~Water
    Jack absolutely hates water. The feeling of being sopping wet is not a fun one, and even though he is almost always in the snow, it's liquid form is not something he is fond of.

    Image
    (by SilverCrescentMoon)

    ~Heat
    Whenever Jack is in the heat, or even when it's just sunny out, he begins to feel drowsy and if he is in it for too long, he can get extremely sick. The sun drains his powers, in a way, and this is what forces him to migrate with the cold weather instead of heading south for winter like a lot of animals do.

    ~Adults
    Even though he is practically an adult himself, Jack doesn't talk well to adults. He tends to either ignore them entirely or ends up saying something rude. It's because of the terrible way his parents treated him that he dislikes them. He may age, but at least he gets to look young, however old he may be.

    ~Losing
    Jack can't stand it when someone beats him at something. His competitive spirit won't allow for it. But when Ari, his own brother, beats him? That makes losing even more humiliating. So whenever Jack loses at an activity, he either declares rematches until he wins, or he will stay grumpy towards Ari for the remainder of the day. Talk about a sore loser...

    ~Technology
    Being on the move for most of his life, Jack never really got around to learning about electronics and such. Natural things like building a snow-plume or climbing a tree are much more interesting to him. Ari, on the other paw, knows quite a bit about all the new models or...whatever you call 'em, and loves to tease Jack about it. Whenever Jack does attempt to work a computer or cell phone (etc...), he gets extremely frustrated. It takes all his willpower not to throw the blasted thing across the room.

    Music plays and host runs on to the stage.

    Host: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to Ferris Chat! I'm your host, and today we have an interview with yet another plumerian! Please welcome, Jaaaack Henson!

    Jack walks onto the stage and over to the interview chair. He glances coldly at the audience.

    Host: Welcome, Jack! I hope you're ready for some questions.

    Jack: I'm only here because my brother got me on this thing.

    Host: (chuckles) Whatever the reason, you're here, aren't you? (Jack stares at him, unspeaking.) Okay, let's get started. How did you first find out about these powers?

    Jack: I was four when it happened. In the early morning, I was climbing a tree and fell out. I woke up late that night. Of course, my parents hadn't come to get me and I was all alone with a splitting headache. I felt...different. First of all, I wasn't cold anymore, and this was in the middle of winter in Anchorage, Alaska. Second of all, I felt stronger. At the time, I wasn't quite sure what it meant. I just thought I knocked by brain out or something. The next morning, Ari and I were making snow angels. When I got up to look at mine, it was frozen solid, covered in ice. Odd things like that started happening more often, like the time I accidentally froze my soup at supper, or when hail started coming down in my bedroom. Eventually, I realized that I wasn't normal. I could control the wind, snow, and ice.

    Host: Wow. So it was because you hit your head?

    Jack:
    (rolls eyes) Of course not. I believe I was chosen for the job.

    Host:
    By whom?

    Jack: I'm not sure, but people don't just get special powers for no reason.

    Host: Fair enough. Next question. What exactly do you do with said powers?

    Jack:
    Well...I carry the responsibility of keeping it in check. I can't let it get out of hand. But for the most part, I just follow winter around. Keep an eye on it, I suppose.

    Host: Intersting. (Says with a goofy smile) Thanks for keeping us all safe from freezing to death, then. (Pause) Next question. What do you think of Jack Frost? You knew it was coming.

    Jack: Jack Frost? Well, if he was even real, I'd call him an impersonator. (Crowd: Ooooh) And if anyone ever calls me that name, I'll get irritated. I'm not Jack Frost, and it's an insult for anyone to call me that joke of a name.

    Host: Alrighty, then. (Pause) I hear you play guitar, Jack?

    Jack: I do.

    Host: What got you interested in the instrument?

    Jack: Not long after I left home, Ari was being a wimp, freezing cold and all. (Crowd: laughs) We had to stop at a shack of a shop for him to warm up. Long story short, the owner let me have one of his guitars, since I was fascinated by the thing. I'm guessing he didn't get much business and wasn't going to sell it anyways. He was extremely kind. Using nothing but a measly book, I taught myself to play. It became a regular hobby until later on, some years or so, Ari and I were sledding down a large hill. I made the foolish decision of bringing the guitar with us as we rode, and we crashed. It broke. (Crowd: Awww)

    Host: Aw, that's too bad. Would playing on one cheer you up? (A comes on from the side of the stage, holding an acoustic)

    Jack:
    (brightens ever so slightly) It always does. (He accepts the guitar from the plumie and starts to play a song he used to play often long ago; As he finishes, the crowd erupts into cheers)

    Host: (As the cheers die down) Wow, that was outstanding, Jack.

    Jack:
    (Smiling now) Thank you.

    Host: We only have a few more questions to go and then we'll be out of your hair.

    Jack: (starting to enjoy himself) Take your time.

    Host: Let's talk about your brother, Ari. Do you two get along?

    Jack:
    Most of the time, I'd like to say so. In fact, I don't know what I would do without him. He gave up home to come with me, and I will forever be grateful for that. (Crowd: Aww) Speaking of which, where is that little devil? He got me on this show and he isn't even watching? (Crowd: Laughs lightly)

    Host: He's watching from the side of the stage. (Points to a spot out of sight from the audience)

    Jack: Oh, there he is. (waves, smiling)

    Host: Okay, I'm gonna tease you a bit now, Jack.

    Jack: (tilts his head) Alright.

    Host: (reaches behind his own chair and brings out a shiny Mac laptop) If I told you to log onto this computer, check the email app, and reply to a message, could you do it?

    Jack: (grins) I could sure try. (Host hands him the laptop and Jack fiddles with it for a few seconds) How do I turn it on again? (Crowd: laughs) Heh, you better take it back before I throw it across the stage.

    Host: (takes laptop) Wouldn't want that to happen, now would we? (Crowd laughter fades) Why aren't you up to date on the gadgets, Jack?

    Jack:
    I just don't think they're important. There are so many other things you could be doing instead of staring at that little screen. (Smiling) Personally, it would hurt my eyes.

    Host: You've got a point there! (Chuckles) Last question, Jack. Would it be possible for you to give us a demonstration of your powers?

    Jack: (smile fades slightly) I don't know. It's not really something I like to show off.

    Host:
    Come on, Jack. Just a little treat?

    Jack: If you don't mind getting your stage all messy, I suppose I could do a little something.

    Host:
    Please, fire away!

    Jack: Alright then. (Smiles mischievously) But don't blame me for any damage. (Holds out a paw; Ice begins to spread from under his chair and quickly picks up speed, soon covering the entire stage)

    Host:
    (jaw hanging open; quickly closes it) Quite fascinating! If only I had my ice skates on. (Pause) You're going to unfreeze this after the show, right? (Crowd: laughs)

    Jack: Can't make any promises.

    Host: (chuckling) Thanks for coming in, Jack. Hope to see you around! Goodnight, folks! (Music plays again and the crowd claps and whistles)
