Where did she get her armor;;
Supposed to be worn temporarily, the armor was meant
for a costume party. However, Eukleia was able to shove
aside her self-consciousness and low self-esteem with it.
So from there, her armor was gifted to her by the past,
departed owners of her parents. Even though it's highly
decorative, it is fully functional.

What is the armor's purpose?;;
The armor hides the scars on her head, chest, shoulders,
and tail she received when just a viscling from a wolf
attack. Eukleia is quite a bit shotgun-shy in these areas,
so it also helps to keep the scars from being touched by
others.

Why does she not have a weapon?;;
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can
be a much more powerful tool." This is more than true
with Eukleia, whom chooses to use words as her weapon
of choice. For what of anyone knows, she has good
intentions even if what she says is a bit misleading.

Behind the Name;;
Named after the greek goddess of glory and good repute.
She was said to be the daughter of Hephaestus (God of
blacksmith, fire, and volcanoes. He made the armor and
weapons of the gods) and Aglaia (Goddess of beauty,
splendor, glory, magnificence and adornment).


Traits;;
Strongly passionate, one-sided, conceited, and a strong
sense of what is "good" in her own one-sided way.

Armor on: Calm, cool, collected to a point of strong
restraint, and assertive.
Armor off: very self-conscious, low self-esteem,
removed, and withdrawn.

The Battle with Herself;;
Eukleia has two sides to herself. The one that all are
allowed to see is her calm, collected self. The other
side, that she never allows anyone to see, deals with
her insecurities. Due to this split nature, she doubts
she'll ever have a mate. If she did, it would only be
with a male whom reflects her own self-consciousness
and low-self esteem that she hides not only inside, but
outside as well using her armor.

Words of Choice
Praise.
She thrives on giving praise to those whom she views
is doing something good, or has heard something that
they've done which she believes is good. What Eukleia
views as good though is her own interpretation and not
exactly what most would agree with. This sends mixed
messages to other viscets and visclings.

"What happened to you, my lady?"

Once upon a time, Ruby was the benevolent, loving ruler of the Kingdom of Adavara. She's still the queen, but most of her former traits have melted away to create some cruel, crazy joke out of the queen the subjects once knew. Nowadays, she thinks life is just a game, so she treats it as so. No act of cruelty is real, it's all pretend to her. Her once enviable battle planning strategies have deteriorated to maddened, ruthless slaughters. She doesn't seem to care how many of her own warriors die, as long as some on the opposing side die as well. "They'll come back to life, after all!", is what she believes. Despite going mad, she didn't lose her optimism; perhaps she became more optimistic from snapping, as she never seems to be sad. If you know her personally, she just seems to crack jokes as if everything in the world is peaceful. She isn't oblivious to the war, of course, she just chooses to ignore it most of the time. She let's things come to her, and she either accepts them, locks them away, or kills them. Often times, when she does get to fight, she's tricked, as her loss of wit enables her enemies to take advantage of her easier. However, she's always prepared for the worst, and normally has some sort of weapon on her to defend herself; her knowledge of weapons has stayed locked in her head, so she can be a dangerous opponent.

"This war has stolen my stable mind, but I could care less! I'm more powerful than I could ever be without this chaos!"

Day One

In an attempt to keep up my hopes, I have taken to writing. The war is worse than ever, and I am not positively sure it is one I can win.

Self Introduction
Hello! Please call me Toxic! <3

I am a roleplayer, gamer, mother. I generally love music, animals, including both feathered and scaly critters, sweets of many kinds, and reading. I especially enjoy writing these sorts of adoption applications for pretty pets. Many, many years ago, I adopted pets in a similar way on Neopets, before the reinvention of it with overly cartoon-y art that made me cringe and eventually drove me away from the site.

I will admit, my CS account is very old. I can't remember the exact year off of the top of my head, but it was back when I could adopt Joker Dogs and the other dogs from that batch. Then, I didn't do much on CS for a long time, as I pursued my interests in other places, namely an adoptable forum that was entirely dedicated to roleplaying. But now, CS is sort a place that I can relax between everything else going on. I spend most of my time browsing adoptable oekaki when on CS since, yay, pets. I'm usually more interested in oekaki pets than the actual CS pets, since adopting CS pets doesn't usually come with making up characters for them. I just love looking at all the pretty things that can potentially be adopted. <3

For some time now, I have been trying to find an adoptable oekaki community to be somewhat involved/active in, but I haven't seemed to have much luck in finding one that stays particularly active. Of course, as far as pets go, I'm considerably picky. That is, I don't try out to adopt pets I don't absolutely adore. If I don't think I could invest myself in the pet, and in the character I can make for them, I just don't bother. They would be better off with someone that loves them more, even if I like them. So, please, keep in mind while reading through this, I am applying for this Visect because I already adore it and the character ideas that I have brewing in my head for it. I most certainly appreciate the opportunity to adopt something so charming.

I feel that I should also note, I am not all that artistically inclined. In grade school, I took art class after art class, but about eight years ago, I mostly gave up on drawing, since I was never satisfied with my work. I still doodle, but I am unwilling to show work that I am not proud of. Unfortunately, this application will be severely lacking in colorful art, it will be more of a wall of text, but I hope that's okay.

She is genetically female and identifies herself as such, although she has some masculine behaviors and attributes.

At times, she masqueraded as a male.

Character Information

Fierce + Influential + Clever + Critical Thinker + Passionate + Romantic

The daughter of the alpha of a massive, wild pack of twisted, vicious, murderous Viscets that have come to be referred to as demons, Nero's environment was hostile growing up. Her mother's life was ended for not producing a male heir, and Nero, in turn, was raised as if she was a boy.

From a very young age, she was trained to fight for her life, to kill and destroy. The alpha of the pack of demons could be decided through fighting each other. The alpha could have their position of power stolen from them at any time, should they be defeated in battle and, often times, the battle ended with someone's death. In order for Nero capably to take over her father's position some day, she was was rigorously trained. She even developed a resistance to poisons and toxins, she being intentionally poisoned many times in her youth, only given the antidotes when she was on the verge of death. Thus, she has a high tolerance to poisons, toxins and venom.

When her father's life came to an end, outside of a challenge for being alpha, Nero was suddenly made to be alpha. It was then, finally, revealed that Nero was a female. Shortly after, she was challenged many times, by many other Visects vying for her position. She has shut all of them down, through her own raw power and determination, but has done so without taking a single life, although some were certainly maimed in the process of protecting herself.

Despite her environment and what is expected of her, which is to essentially be a vicious, killing machine without remorse, her troubled childhood shaped something else in her. Nero, more than anything, desires to correct the way that the pack operates. She sees their behavior as something unnecessary in the world of today, and as something that gets in the way of them advancing. For this, she has passed down laws that forbids fighting outside of special circumstances. And, should anyone break the laws, they must answer to her and potentially be banished.

She is the Demon King, because there is no such title as "Demon Queen," in her pack. A queen is typically lesser than a king in power and stature so, even though she considered taking the title as a queen, she has rejected the idea. Nero is absolutely the most powerful, thus, she took the title of Demon King as a show of her own strength. She is not one that will be knocked down and she is lesser to no one, and she will even forsake her femininity in front of the pack to prove it.

Through proving herself time and time again as the rightful alpha, she is both feared and respected. In common times, no one dares to challenge her or to cross her. Despite many even hating her for the new laws and changes she has brought about, they cannot go against her.

There are many occasions that she spends away from the pack, however. She is not able to stand being in a place with such animosity against her without sometimes needing a break. For a few days at a time, she will venture away, and pretend she isn't hailed as the Demon King, the alpha of demon Viscets. Being the king is not what defines her, nor does she ever want to be just that.

She equally uses that time to pursue other things, such as friendships, and ways to improve her pack and their environment. In particular, she finds beauty in nature, rather than bloodshed.

Nero is incredibly strong, but she is kind and passionate, and, deep in her heart, she desires to be loved; loved in a way that she was not ever shown. Although she can presume that her father's training her, teaching her to be able to fend for herself, was his way of showing his love for her, she does not view it as love.

Her ornate decor is both a proof of her position as alpha, as well as something she adorns herself in for battle.

Why This Visect?

I was immediately attracted to this Visect, first, for its colors. Red, white and dark colors, be that darker red, black, and so on, happens to be one of my absolute favorite color schemes. In fact, such colors are fairly dominant in my personal wardrobe. It was the colors that made me click the smaller image and, then, I fell in love with its paws. Don't get me wrong, all of its markings are wonderful, but those little muddy paws are just too adorable. I want to play with its paws!

The addition of the items is what really sealed the deal, since they, when mixed with the Visect's colors, is what brought about the character inspiration for the demon king, Nero. I floundered around a little bit, trying to decide on the character's gender. At first, I definitely wanted to make Nero a female, but then a part of me disagreed, saying that a male demon king would be more conventional. Well, more conventional or not, it kept giving me a more female sort of vibe, so I could not deny it, in the end. Of course, I actually love how unconventional it is to have a female demon king.

In short, I just love everything about this Visect, especially how easily it inspired a character for me.
