"Forget what hurt you,
but never forget what it taught you.
For to let go, is not to deny, but to accept.
Acceptance leads to greater things, and sometimes the
greater things we find, are worth realizing that
no matter how much money you have,
how recent your car may be,
or how big your home is,
our graves will be the same size.
Stay humble."

Kona's Element is called Nacre; which is basically the inside of a shell. The illuminating colors are something that really reflects Kona's unpredictable emotions; which brings out her mysterious side. On the outside of any shell, each have their own appearance, smooth or rough surfaces, and color. Based on those appearances, a human will be most likely to pick up the most beautiful or attractive shell, than a small, old, broken shell. Just like every shell is different, so is every Viscet. A Viscet cannot be defined by it's appearance, but rather by his/her actions. So in conclusion,
the real treasure, is the heart of every shell or Viscet.

The melody of a violin and a piano entangled in single harmony echoed through the halls of the famous Opera house of Paris. Kona’s heart seemed to flutter along with the strings of her violin; her eyes closed in concentration as she focused on the first note, then moved onto the next. The piano on her right; played by her sister, Mononoke, seemed to blend naturally with the rise and fall of the violin’s quick natured tune.
‘Eeek!’ The sound of Kona’s string creaked across the dome-like building; making her ears wince in pain. Mononoke sighed as their instructor, Nova, shook her head crossly. Kona’s tail sank to the ground. “Sorry..” She slightly whimpered as Nova walked over to her, arms crossed. “Did your string break again?” She inquired, her brow raised. Kona nodded. “How many times do I have to tell you? Just replace this darn thing already.” Nova began to rant; shaking her head as she muttered under her breath crossly. “I would never replace this! It was my father's! I don't even have the money to replace it anyway..” Kona trailed off as movement caught her eye, a hooded figure watching from the right overhang seating area, known as box five.
As if sensing her gaze, the figure turned and disappeared out of it; his cloak trailing behind him.
“Who was that?” Asked Kona, her eyes filled with suspicion. No one was supposed to be in the Opera House at this hour; unless you were either part of the staff, or practicing for a recital. However, the next show isn’t due for another two days, so why would a stranger randomly show up? “What do you mean, Kona? No one should be here.” Said Mononoke her head tilted slightly. Nova sighed and rolled her eyes, handing Kona her violin with a new string tied to it. “Probably just one of the staff cleaning.” She said, dismissively. Nova then turned toward where Kona had pointed; a mischievous expression hidden in her eyes.
“We shall continue tomorrow. I still have many things to take care of.
Including to make sure Twilight will be ready for the main chorus of the performance.”
As if summoned, Twilight padded into the Opera in a new crimson, silk dress, with a bouquet of flowers in paw; an obvious gift from a young suitor, named Otoko. Otoko carried her swiftly to them, his eyes concerned. "What on earth happened!?" Growled Nova, her voice full of worry. Twilight quietly greeted them as she approached her eyes full of hidden, painful humor obvious in her expression. "We were walking through my gardens beside the road when all of a sudden, a carriage came out of know where and nearly ran us over. I'm afraid that we were a bit carried away at the moment that we barely had enough to time to move out of the way.." Otoko trailed off awkwardly, gesturing to Twilight. "In the process, Twiligt had gotten hurt. After calling the doctor," he said, motioning to the spring on her forepaw, "he said that she had fractured her wrist." Nova smiled halfheartedly as she clasped paws with her daughter. “I take it your date went well?” She prompted. Twilight giggled and nodded; a blush appearing on her face as she avoided Otoko's gaze. Kona's ears pricked as Nova began to speak again. "I suppose we'll have to cancel the show. Although you'll still have the Ball to go to; of who I'm sure Otoko would be quite pleased to accompany you.." Twilight's tail spiked. "Mother, you can't be serious! Cancel the show? How could you do so when so many people were looking forward to it?" She asked, her eyes brimming with tears. "What else do you expect me to do, Twilight? You cannot be expected to play with a broken wrist! And besides who would have the skill to replace you?!" She exclaimed with frustration. Twilight's eyes flashed indignantly. Then, her gaze landed on Kona. "She can! She has beautiful talent with her Violin, and I've herd her sing before!" She then turned to her mother's surprised expression. "It could work!" She exclaimed. Nova fell silent for a moment. "Kona does have some talent...very well. She will perform the show; however, you must be there to sing while she plays. I understand that she may indeed, have a beautiful voice, but she isn't the one who has been practicing this song for mounths. She will need to practice the song with her violin more since it was made for a Viola, after all." She considers and turned to her; eyes glowing. Kona's ears rang; her throat dry. "I-I really don't know if I can do this! You said so yourself, Nova, I still have much to learn!" She protested. Nova shook her head. "The best way to learn, is by experience."
--2 Days later--
The night had come; it had finally arrived; and Kona's heart was racing. Her throat dry from nervousness and her eyes full of anxiety. She was dressed in the most beautiful gown; a flower like shawl was draped around her, along with it trailing along her tail. Gloves were perched and especially made to fit her paws rested cooly on them. This was it. This was where her life would change forever if it was a success. Eyes breaking with excitement, Kona stepped onto stage; greatful for her mask, and began to play the first few opening lines.

Nova is Kona's teacher. Although she may be a bit feisty, Nova is an honorable and wise Viscet, who's loyalty is unmatched once her more reserved side appears. As should be expected, she is a very proper and dignified female who won't hesitate to point out the flaws in one's insight. "Flaws are the easy part to find through another's eyes; it's the corrections that are made by your own insight that are difficult." she says repeatedly to Kona.
