Costume: Mizuko's costume is actually a Mandarin fish costume. Yes, dressing as a fish for Halloween not only sounds lame, but also rather unattractive. However, the costume isn't a full body costume, rather different parts which he attaches to his body. There's a large fin which tapers down his spine, as well as additional parts which sticks to the sides of the lion-floof at the end of his tail, making it resemble a fin. The final touches are tiny little fins - almost like boot spurs, really, in both size and nature - that he sticks to his wrist joints and hocks. Not only are his costume colors slightly altered, so they're more purplish in order to match with his fur's color scheme, but they're also a little on the sharp side, giving them an almost dragon-like feel.

While Barlow's charm isn't necessarily always Halloween-themed, that doesn't mean it doesn't spook people year-round! See, while Barlow himself may consider his 'charm' to be a pretty, decorative and cute accessory, it's actually more of a tail 'terrarium'- and one that Barlow absolutely loves to stock with bugs of all kind.

It's a handmade terrarium Barlow made out of a lightweight plastic jar, and Barlow never keeps bugs in his 'charm' for more than a few days, eventually moving them to bigger tanks to make sure his little friends survive. While his mini-terrarium has hosted critters from snails to scorpions, for Halloween Barlow is stocking it with a little black spider he found holed up in his cellar. (Let's just hope it doesn't get loose!)

Rather than going with the expected 'spider' costume to match his charm, Barlow's decided to honor all the poor, innocent little insects he's fed to spiders over the years. To do this, he's dressing up as the 'cobweb ghost'- the angry, vengeful spirit of a billion bugs that met a spidery death. His actual costume is pretty simple. You know this stuff, the messy, cotton fake spider web that people spread all over their house around Halloween? Barlow's bought seven or eight big bags of the stuff, and come Halloween-time, he's going to totally wrap himself in it so only his eyes and snout are sticking out. He's also going to pin a huge spider plushie to his head, for good measure. Nobody's sure whether or not Barlow will actually be able to move with it on, but, well, that's Halloween for ya...
