- “everybody, can you please interview everyone around the beach? ask them if they’ve seen anything suspicious. i’ll go talk to some of the employees.” after hours of what was pretty much an interrogation of everyone on the beach, betsy caught a break. one of the employees spotted a buttermilk she didn’t recognize dropping bits of corn around the beach. “i thought it was a little odd, but i didn’t think it was anything malicious,” she explained. “figured maybe they were just feeding the seagulls. i didn’t really get a good luck of the buttermilk, though. i know everybody who works at the resort, so it wasn't an employee. sorry i can’t help more.” after thanking the employee, betsy called all of her helpers back to form a plan. “should we try to look for more corn, or keep interviewing buttermilks?”
