Name:Tethys - (tee-this)
(Τηθύς); Greek myth - a Titaness and sea goddess.Age (at most 400):220
Personality:Tethys is one who is reserved, and stays away from others. Many will try and socialize with her, but she just backs down and goes her own way. She isn't the one who likes to be aggressive or rude towards others, but she can be if you push her off the edge. Independence is what she likes and would rather do things her way, or not at all. So, if you try to help her with something, she will get irrotated and might snap at you. If she knows you well and sees that you won't irrotate her in any way, then she will let you in, but other wise, don't waste your time.
This young saber is kind of a wild child and tends to need to be desciplined if she gets out of hand. I would warn you if you try to descipline her, because she likes to listen to her own rules and not others. Beneath all that reserved and arrogant wall, there is a sensitve Tethys who can warm anyone's heart. She just doesn't know how to really act around others, so she puts up a fake identiy so no one can see the real Tethys.
Element:Water
Attacks:Wipe Away My Tears:One tear that Tehys produces will fall into the ground. This makes the ground become moist enough for her to sink her claws into the earth, letting the water that was soaked in by the dirt draw out of it. The water is absorbed through her claws and sometimes up in her fangs. When she strikes at the another saber or gryphon, the water will sink into the victum's body as her claws or fangs, or both, penetrate the skin. This will make the other saber drown as the water fills its entire body, collasping the lungs and making the heart die with the lack of oxygen.
-This attack will only work if the ground is moist enough after a good rainshower or if there are some puddles of rain that hasn't soaked into the earth yet. If not, then she can let one tear fall from her eyes and this will help the ground moisten up.
- This attack takes about a few minutes or seconds, depending on the amount of water that is soaked in the ground.
-The energy level is about 7 because it takes a toll on Tethys to draw out the water and absorb it in her claws or fangs, or both.
Quick SandQuick sand is usually sand that is really wet and will suck in a great amount of weight that stands in it. Teyths can do this with dirt as well. In the middle of a battle, Tethys will close her eyes and call apon the rain, using acient words that her mentor has used. She doesn't have to use rain if the ground is moist enough. Once the ground is wet enough to her liking, the victum will start to sink into the earth's floor, trapping it. This allows Tehthys to strike the helpless victum with the finale blow.
- This attack's energy level is about 4 because if the ground is already moist enough, then Tethys just has to really only moisten it a bit more so the victum can sink into the ground and let her have the advantage of ending them.
Misty MorningDon't you hate it when you go to school or work in the morning and there is a blanket of mist or fog that makes you almost blind? Well, Tethys can make that happen in a blink of an eye. This attack can blinde the victum long enough for Tethys to end it quickly, or this can help her blend in and become undetected to the naked eye. To make this happen, Tethys will call apon the water vapor in the air and make it thicken by blowing a cloud of her breath into the air, until the world around you is blinded by the mist.
-This attack is mainly used for defense.
-Tethys doesn't get real tired or weak after using this defense because there isn't a lot for her to do to make the mist.
Special Ability:My Cool Embrace:This is really not an attack, but a way to heal Tethys body and mind. How she preforms this is secret from others because she tends to do this alone. If there is a lake nearby or big river, she will walk into it, until the water is above her knees. Her eyes will close and she will start to softly say ancient words that niether she, nor anyone else know the meanings to. As she keeps saying these words, the water around her will glow a bright, light blue colour, which begins to cover her body. To others, this will seem like the water is taking Tethys in its embrace and actually helping to calm her mind and sometimes it will even heal her wounds.
Now, this does take quite of bit of time and energy, but she regulary tries to do this everyday, just to keep her mind clear of anything bad.
Armor Type (gold, silver or bronze):I have always liked Silver armor and I think it will go well with her fur coloring.
Story:Normally I would talk about my past, and how I grew up to become who I am now. But to me, that is something you will learn if I am willing to let you in. But for right now, let me tell you what I am like now and I may add some things about my past. This is for your own ears and no one else's! So, please respect that and I may like you more than I do now. Untold Secrets.....You may have figured out that my element is Water, which is easy since I spend most of my time in or by some form of water. If you didn't guess that, then you need a good hit on the head to get some sense into you. Besides that, on my regular outings I always go by the big lake that is in my old homeland that I learned about when I was a youngster. Of course, I was brainless and had no idea what was instore for me like I do now. I learned the hard way about my powers and how to use them properly.
My grandmother, who wasn't related to me in any way, taught me valuable lessons that I envy everyday. She was a water saber and a brilliant one at that. Well, to me anyways. It was time to pass soon since she was an elder, but she didn't use her old age to stop her from taking me under her wing. She taught me the basics of living; hunting, defense, guarding the perimeter of the lands, and keeping an eye out for anything that seemed out of place or needed to be fixed.
Dominance was something I used when I was young and I let it take over me. Whenever new cubs were acting childish and didn't do work that they would soon be coming into as they grew, I would repremand them and ignore the regular glares and beatings I got from the parents. I did the same to the more grown up sabers, who enjoyed playing and frolicking around the lands when they needed to be on gaurd for whatever may be thrown at them. Stupid sabers, I swear. No one knew how to really keep a pack structured. Of course, my grandmother wasn't thrilled about me being bossy around the others, and kept reminding me to keep enjoying life as it was. My parents were foolish when they were young and look what happened to them. They got blindsided by an Gryphon and lost their very lives. To me, they deservered it.
But once my trusty mentor passed, she blessed me with my abilities. She actually let me have her powers, even if I was arrogant and let the worries of keeping the pack safe and structured over-take my mind. I miss my grandmother, my mentor, but she is always around me. Everyday I practice with my powers, I hear her voice in my head. Angelic and wise. I started to understand that I needed to live life to the fullest, but I'm not sure if I can do that without jepordising the lives that live in the lands.
I let the waters calm me down, and cleanse my head of worry and pain. Pain. That was part of my problem. I blamed my parents, my family, for their deaths; when in reality, they did everything they could to keep the lands safe from their enemies. Of course, do I believe that, not entirely. But, my grandmother, and my new water spirite friends that I can see now, though I am still getting used to this and not sure why I see them, help me through my denial and pain. Maybe I should actually listen to them and not always assume that we are in danger. Yes, we should keep a look out everyday, but enjoy the peace and serenity that our world gives us while it lasts.
Others know best, no matter how much I ignore them...Once I figured out that I should just leave and be focused more on me instead of others, I came to a conclusion of venturing away and maybe figure out what my powers are and see what I can do with them. So, that's what I did. On my travels, I tend to incounter other sabers, which I tend to use as my practice dummies. Whenever I would use an attack, somehow it would backfire, or the other opponent would get the greater chance.
The sabers' would say that I am over confident, or over stressing with things and I should just clean my mind and consintrate. What were they thinking on judging me?! I got mad and usually left with maybe some wounds, mentally or physically.
They're right you know. Why don't you ever listen to some helpful advice and actually quite being an almighty goddess when you aren't one. Great, my mentor was still in my head and saying how I acted like a goddess who ruled everything, when really I was just a warrior who needed understanding. But sadly, she was right. She always is. So, I actually listened for once.
When I was basking in the sun and letting the cool water of the lake soak into my fur on a unusually bright day, I closed my eyes and let the clear liquid fight off all the memories that pained me, or all my ignorance that seemed to take over. What surprised me next was that the water around me glew a bright, light blue color. My paws seemed to match that same glow, because when I lifted them out of the water, they were bright blue! Instead of getting overexcited, I closed my eyes again and started to say ancient words that I had no idea what the meanings were, but went with it.
My ears picked up on the sound of running water, which intensified as I kept on. Once my eyelids fluttered open, the water that was surronding me and covering my entire body with its beauty that glowed more, continued to grasp me in its cool embrace. What I did was actually cleanse my mind from everything that seemed to be in the way of what I need to consintrate on. That was valuable to me and I use that special power to keep myself free of anything that kept blocking my path.
Happy now? You know a bit about me, but don't let that be an invite to my friendship party, because you are not even close to being aloud in. Now, go on and bask in what I told you.Art of it:Drawn by MeDrawn by MeBe warned: I'm an artist in training and just recently started doing feline anatomy, so the pictures won't be really good.
