Cow: Iku
Prompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together!
Iku stares at the supplies before her, utterly flabbergasted. All she knew was she wanted to try her hand at something different, and there was a quilting class being offered so she took up the opportunity.
“Seize your moment. Thanks Coco,” she muttered to herself.
She continues staring at the spools before her, reminiscing on her grandmas heavy quilts, wishing she had her grandmas keen eye for help. She didn’t even bother doing any sort of Google or YouTube research prior to signing up for the class, so this girl had no idea what she was doing. She shrugs at the thought. “Only way to learn it by making a choice and trying.”
She selects a deep shade of red and a pale cream, praying it’ll do the trick.

Cow: SongbirdPrompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together!Songbird had never sewn before. She has always thought of herself as someone to do quilting, or knitting; but never had an excuse to pick it up. She decided that now was a great opportunity to give it a try. She works out of a smaller retail location that offers hardware, foods, clothing and fabrics, yarns and other relative supplies. She doesn’t work with the fabric often but she knows how to cut it for customers, that’s about as far as her knowledge of these things go. With this in mind she decided to go with this beautiful forest green polyester thread. Not because of what it’s made with or how well it’ll work for the quilt but because it’s her favorite color! Learning to make this quilt will be a brand new adventure, and she decided to follow her heart. This is the start to Songbirds greatest passion project!

Prompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together!
Croissant stood in front of the booth for a few minutes, drawing bewildered stares from some of the crowd surrounding the booth. Between you and me, Croissant was taking up a lot of space. She was most definitely blocking others from being able to read the “Pumpkin Patchwork” sign, not that Croissant cared or even noticed. No matter how many times she reread the sign, she could not piece together the words. “Patchwork? Like a quilt?” She dramatically gagged and turned to Barnaby. “I think this booth is misplaced. It should have been delivered to the old age home.” Croissant was about to give Barnaby some detailed directions, but she noticed that a lot of seats were full. She slowly slid into a seat, shaking her head as she watched the excitement on mostly everyone’s faces. “I’m only participating in this so that my friends will take pity on me the next time I see them for our weekly gossip sessions,” Croissant whispered to the unfortunate individual who had the pleasure of sitting near her. Not knowing the difference between the different types of thread, she picked out some holographic glitter polyester thread. “So who is going to make this quilt for me?”

Cow: WednesdayPrompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.Wednesday looked at Barnaby with a cheeky smile as he asked her what kind of thread she would be using to make her quilt. She felt a giddy excitement as he asked. Barnaby presented Wednesday with yarn and cotton and polyester, soft threads and more firm ones, even patches of fabric. She grinned sheepishly as she reached into her pocket and pulled out some handfuls of colorfully woven spools.
“I collected all the lint in my pockets,” she giggled a bit crazily, “and spinned it into thread! I like to reuse things..maybe it will hold up?” She looked up at Barnaby hopefully and then grinned down at her handfuls of lint thread and chuckled creepily to herself.
“What are you going to use Barnaby? Grass, maybe wheat? Or or even fibers from clothes that are falling apart?!” She blinked almost like a lizard, “although I guess simple cotton thread is very sturdy..maybe I should have some of that as backup, hehe..”

Cow: Midas Prompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.Midas huffed as sweat dripped down his brow. He wasn't used to heavy labor. He squeezed his thighs around the trunk of a palm tree as he cut down the last large leaf, throwing it on top of a pile on the sand at it's base. After jumping down, he sits in the sweltering desert sun, pulling strips of green to use as his thread. Really, he was angry he couldn't get one of his followers to do the dirty prep work for him, but the Farmer's Market staff said he could only get the reward if he put in the effort himself. Summoning his strength, the strands of palm transformed into incredibly delicate, thin gold thread. That was more like it. (122)

Cow: TeddyPrompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.in her downtime, teddy often worked on cross-stitching. she had found it to be a good way to relax and unwind, which is why as soon as she saw a booth advertising quilting she made her way on over. it would be a fun chance to use her current knowledge and learn some more, and hey maybe she would even really enjoy quilting!
for her thread teddy decided to go with rayon. while not as sturdy as the typical options the appearance made up for it. its sheen stood out against cotton or polyester, just what teddy was looking for. as for color... she hummed to herself grabbing a light salmon thread, 'this will do.'

Cow: Amber LeavesPrompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.Amber Leaves loves to use very finely threaded hay from her barn and fields. She often gathers the strands that come out from the bales on her farm and sends them off to a weaver before starting any projects. If she could get the craft of weaving down she’d do it herself but between running her farm and rising her calves she barely gets enough time to practice. She’s seen improvement in the softness of the thread the thinner the strand she’s able to weave. Her best works are the hay sweaters she ls able to make for her family and the hay blankets for her animals. Nothings better than sleeping on soft hay am I right?

Cow: BluebellPrompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.Bluebell knew she wanted this quilt to not only be perfect but to also be luxurious and comfortable. The silky voile that she cradled would make the perfect choice. She eyed the cream(cream) and peach(peach) fabrics, laying them out before reaching for her sewing machine. Maybe she'd work in some embroidery later! Cute green vines or flowers would be the perfect addition. But for now she would just focus on sewing and putting together the quilt. Just in time too! As the more chilled weather begins to roll in. She would not only be comfortable but also fashionable! Maybe she'll make it a large one to make it extra snuggly.

Cow: Nesquik
Prompt: Describe what your Buttermilk will be using as thread for their quilt. What color is it? Is it cotton? Polyester? Maybe they’ve woven fine strands of grass together! Minimum 100 words.
Nesquik nervously joined the group, giving kind smiles to the people sat around the bundles of fabric. She didn't really know what she was getting herself into, she just saw lovely quilts hanging about and thought it was a wonderful idea. She notices everyone fiddling with spools of thread in their hands and quickly looks around for some thread for herself. Noticing the basket of thread floating between everyone's hands, she patiently waits for an opportunity and quickly grabs some thread that had settled at the edge of the basket. It was an easy choice, really. In her hands was a spool of cotton thread, a beautiful bright blue in colour. It immediately caught her eye since it reminded her of the eyes that her girlfriend and daughter share. She wasn't clued in on what threads were great for quilting, but to her, the colour was a lot bigger of a priority.
