A lone figure sits, pawing at a marble stone in the center of a pool of light teal water, flush greenery sweeping out and around the room elegently and wildly. They flick an ear and tip their head slightly, "Cassiel, you wish to speak?"
Another figure sweeps into the room, their tail dragging along the marble floor as they pause and lower their head slightly "Oroiael." She whispers in greeting, twitching as the other sweeps their tail motioning them forward.
"Come, come, sit with me. Cassiel we haven't spoken in centuries darling." They said fullly turning to look over, bright eyes squinted with amusment, Cassiel stared at them for a second before sighing and taking a seat beside the other before the pool of shimmering water.
Oroiael hums and lifts out a paw to move the marble orb again, its form sliding along the top of the pool and causing a frog to jump back into the pool from its lily perch. "You wanted to ask me something?" Oroiael guessed, an ear twitching as Cassiel jumped slightly before watching her slump down beside them and look away.
"Samandriel." She said, the name a question in and of itself which made Oroiael pause before nodding.
"You wayward little brother with a talent for causing us trouble?" They asked, huffing a laugh as Cassiel shot them a dark look and looked back down at the orb, watching it slowly make it's way back. "You know The Mirror will give you the same answer I can, correct?" Oroiael said placing their paw atop the orb and steadying it before them.
Cassiel looked at them and the orb for a second before nodding, "The Mirror still wont show him, just like it wont show Iblis or any of the other Fallen." She muttered looking away and flicking her tail to curl it around her paws.
Oroiael nodded, "Iblis cursed it before he fell, no Fallen can be found with The Mirror and due to me and my Orb being from The Mirror, we are cursed aswell," They said spinning the orb under their paw before stopping it, "We will however, try to show Samandriel to you once. Just so you know we cannot." The siamese said with a short nod and pulled the orb from the pool, huffing as they rocked back on their haunches.
Cassiel backed away crouching nearby as Oroiael's eyes lit up along with the orb, painting the room in a luminous and soft white, clouds and fog seemed to swath the room as a film of mist rose from the pond. And just like with The Mirror, the mist was empty white.
She let her ears drop and sighed tapping the floor twice signaling the older it wasnt working and watches the mist and clouds fade back into the pool. Oroiael turned and looked at her, calm blue eyes understanding.
"You will find him, trust me on this Cassiel. One day, not now or in the next centuries but one day." They said plunking the orb back into the waters as Cassiel stood beside them quietly.
She smiled and lifted her head, "Thank you Oroiael, for trying atleast."
Cassiel was immortal, she could wait however long it took for her brother to come back. She just needed a reminder to not give up.
