Cherrycreek purred from the bushes as she watched her clanmates bicker in the hollow.

“When we were alive and receiving prophecies, StarClan never bothered making sure we understood!” “But as a former medicine cat, I really do think these riddles aren’t a tradition we should continue… especially not when our clan is fighting among themselves.” “You just have a soft spot for them because you mentored their current medic. “Are you really that bitter over prophecies you didn’t even have to interpret, Daybreak?” Cherrycreek meowed, bounding out of her hiding place. Both cats startled.

Daybreak hissed, before turning, her tail sweeping behind her and stalking off. After a moment, the other she-cat purred. “Oh, you sneaky thing! I see you’re as good at creeping up on your clanmates here in StarClan as you were in the forest.”
