Of course, she has her limits when morals and stronger opinions kick in, but when it comes to harmless or mundane events, she’s down for just about anything. So of course, when the other members of the Buttermilk Babies herd were talking about a trip to the Farmer’s Market, the striped heifer was in.

Brie was pretty excited for this trip actually. She was hoping there would be booths selling more than just fresh produce. It was her hope that there would be more oddball booths, selling little oddities and trinkets. Brie was a bit of a nerd and quite eccentric, and she liked some things that were a little out of the ordinary. However, she’d be perfectly content to settle on purchasing a sweet ripe peach and relaxing in the grass if there wasn’t much else there for her to do.

When she saw the carnival-esque booth upon arriving at the Farmer’s Market, Brie’s jaw dropped as she let out an excited gasp. She didn’t even think to say anything to the others before tearing off towards the colorful booth as fast as she could. She loved games! Games of all sorts and kinds, and she was not expecting there to be carnival games here today! The heifer felt so overjoyed she could leap through the air! “Hi!!!! Can I do the ring toss??!” she squeaks out in an upbeat, high pitched tone.

I went for my daily walk and to my surprise I took a new path today and look at that!" She said. "I ended up on the right end of things! A whole lovely market for me to enjoy." She said gently. Prizes line the walls - plush flowers, stuffed animals, and bright accessories. Suze looks wistfully at a big orange raccoon as she wanders up to the first stand. A bull bounds from behind a crowd of bovines and Suze listen distractedly as she watches balloons pop in the booth across the way. Her eyes dart this way and that, taking in each game with a strategy in mind.

Clara looked around at all the colourful tents and booths before she said: "I've always loved markets like this one when I was little and some others on Poppy Meadows, that's where I live, have also told me a lot about these markets and all the special memories they have from these markets. Especially one of my moms memories always makes me wanna go to a market every time I hear of one. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of these markets in the area where I live.
I always loved how colourful and happy these markets sounded, when the others told me about some of their memories and i always wanted to see it for myself at least once in my life, so when I heard about this market, I immediately had to ask the others if we could go here.And you know what?"
Clara now looked around once again, her eyes glowing with joy while all the colourful tents were reflecting in her eyes. "This place is even more magical than I could've ever imagined."

"Oh! Excuse me," Sorrel mumbled, face flushed as the person she'd just bumped into turned around to give her a glare. This type of thing was... well, not her scene, to say the least. It was crowded and it smelled, and all she wanted to do was run back to her greenhouse to be alone with her plants. But, alas, she was looking for help - and where was a better place to find help than a crowded carnival?

When a bull appeared behind her she gasped and let out a shocked little, "Oh!"

She hadn't come here to play games, but Avalon quickly convinced her, and soon she was going over to the ring toss booth with him. It was more out of politeness than interest, to be honest - Sorrel couldn't bear the thought of turning down such a kind offer to pay for her games.

"Why would a cow like you end up at a market like this?" Avalon asked.

For a moment, Sorrel looked a bit sheepish and flushed before she slowly started answering, voice barely above a whisper, "Oh... well, truth be told, I was only coming to see if I could find anyone to help me in my greenhouse."

"Ehem, not that its really your business, but I'm here to get to know some people," Bonnie gulped "so I guess your question is valid... Anyway I live just over that hill, on the Lavender Meadows farm. They say that the Farmer's Market comes around once a year, but I wasn't here last time, I was uh... Somewhere else." Bonnie gulped again, eyeing the bustling crowds around her and scooting closer to the booth in an attempt to avoid being run over by some playing calves. "I really just wanted to play a game... Can I play a game?" Bonnie sheepishly pointed to the ring toss. Avalon handed her a handful of rings, to which she began to chuck at the bottles. "I'll be coming back tomorrow you know, and maybe I'll tell you a little more about myself and where I'm from, yeah?" Bonnie threw her last ring and it landed smack dab in the middle around the neck of the bottle. "I won!" She squealed, before leaping into the booth and giving Avalon a massive bear hug. "I've never won before," she mumbled in a muffled voice with her face in his neck. "Thank you, I'll see you tomorrow!" and off she ran.

Beth thought about the question for a little bit. Why did she come here? The answer seemed simple, but for some reason Beth couldn't think of an answer.

Not wanting to keep buttermilk waiting any longer, Beth replied, "To have fun and buy a few things before I set off on the road again." But that wasn't really why she came to the farmer's market.

Beth wanted to find a friend. She had lived her whole life alone, just traveling around. It didn't seem strange to her then. When Beth did eventually find another Buttermilk other than herself, it seemed strange to her that she didn't have any friends. Everyone else had friends.

After that, she set off on a quest to find a friend. Unfortunately, Beth is naturally gruff, uninviting, and gets mad all the time, so finding this friend was harder than she had thought it would be. When hearing about the farmer's market, and how a lot of buttermilks come here every year, Beth felt this would another great place to try and complete her quest.

Tilting his head, Howdy leans against the front table of the both, flashing a kind grin. He looks like someone you would want to invite to your grandmother's birthday party, or your sisters wedding, to show off.
"Well, ya see, why not!" The bull is of taller stature, and has faint scar lines that are visible above his cheeks, and a few littering his hands. It makes you question how he got these, because without seeing these, it looks like this boy might just fall over if you blow on him.
"It's beena while since I gots'ta enjoy bein' back home. Real mighty nice! And, well, afters all, you asked fer playful spirits, didn'tja?" Howdy gives a laugh, pulling back and rubbing the back of his neck as he does so. He has got a thick, tangy accent that unnecessarily accentuates the wrong syllables, but it kinda sounds nice. It is very easy to tell that the man is relaxed.

"Unfortunate, to tell ya, but I did eat alla those seeds... sunflowers are kinda my weakness! Really, though... I mighty enjoy being home. I heard'll the fuss... wanted to join in on th' fun!" Conjoined with his words, the way he acted gave the notion he was telling the truth. It seemed like he really DID want to be here, just to be here...

When Howdy walks away, all said and done, it might leave one there to wonder... who was this engima? And why in the darndest heck was his name Howdy?

The young female giggled brightly, it had been a joint idea between her and her herdmates. Even her mother had agreed to come along, which had surprised most of the girls. The market was bright and filled with fun things to both see and do, it ws practically a siren call for Sundae.

The cow in question a lover of all things fun, games and activties. Not to mention all the great food to try eating. Though of course she'd be careful with how much she ate, no way was she amking herself ill and going home early.
