Dahlia- She was named for the rare golden petals of the dahlia flower that grows along the boundary of the twoleg place that lies on Floodclan's far northwestern border. As a young kit, she adored playing within the bright, impressive wildflower clumps and dig up the funny-looking tubers growing under the gorgeous blooms. The first time she saw a two-leg planted dahlia, she was mesmerized by its sheer size and beauty.

Blossom- In the early moon-cycles of her position as a medicine cat apprentice, Dahlia will ask for her full medicine cat name as soon as she is able to. Amused by her apprentice's enthusiasm and impressed by her knowledge, Lilyfrost will give her apprentice the suffix -blossom to signify the she-cat's innocent, budding beauty, bright personality, and love for flower-based remedies. Her suffix -bloom will also signify how she introduces the concept of agricultural cultivation into Floodclan. That goofy-looking dahlia tuber she forgot about while playing in the fertile soils of Floodclan's drier regions (Imagine her surprise when, moons later, she found an elegant sprout with a neat little bud in place of the tuber) will certainly pay off.

Bloom- In the wake of tragedy striking her clan when they least expect it (an unexpected war alongside moons of Blackfever sickness), her quick thinking, efficiency, and near-flawless teamwork with her aging mentor will serve to pull her clan from the brink. Her invaluable service will earn her the suffix -bloom (by the very spirits of the floodplains who helped nurture her spiritual medicine cat career), to signify her and her clan's triumph despite the hardship that will plague them in those fateful moons.

Much like a flower bud ravaged by the cold of winter, come spring they will bloom once again.

SunFlare launched himself at the attacker and scared them off of the Mistclan leader. From that day forward he was known as SunFlare, for his act of bravery.

She would shove her muzzle into the sand after watching the pipers peck around in search of food, and come up, blinking in alarm as she tried to shake off the sand. This earned a few laughs from the watching cats, but it also earned her her name.

Many long moons past, before the trees of the Wolf Forest and Great Forest stood tall, and before the dens of two-legs rose from the ground, the cats of the land lived in chaos and contention. Without laws to guide them or a clan to dedicate their loyalty to, they sought only for themselves and their own gain. Blood was shed by greedy claws and kits cried into the night for fear and sadness. The land began to darken as prey was hunted in great abundance and plants were ripped form the ground for the sake of sharpening claws. The sky cried, pouring its tears upon the earth in hopes that all would arise anew once more, but as its tears dried only darkness remained.

The numbers of cats and prey alike dwindled as greed and cruelty drove their hearts, guiding them to a path of nothingness. All would have been lost, were it not for those who had already gone.

The spirits of the lawless cats stood in a land of endless fields, painted in luminous sway grass and bountiful prey. They were not alone, however, and their eyes came to rest upon a golden spirit which watched them with sad eyes. It approached them, coat swaying in the life-giving breeze, and spoke with a voice of honey and gold.

As dawn arose, the living awoke to the fallen standing before them, eyes and hearts illuminated as they prepared to share the words of the spirit and bring order to the lawless land.

Time passed and the trees grew. Prey became bountiful once more, and two-legs found a home near the two forests. The cats separated into clans and tribes to keep the land healthy as they survived, and the tale of the spirits which came at dawn faded from the minds of all but one: a dark tom which would become a great-great grandfather. He held the legend in his heart and shared it with his kin, believing that retaining the legend in their hearts would keep the land alive. As the tale passed, only one kit from the litters believed it and carried it on to their next of kin.

On one dawn when the sky seemed to glow with the golden light of the sun, painting the softly swaying grass and illuminating the brighter greens which dappled their stalks, a rouge she-cat watched her only kit nestle closer to her, her luminous golden pelt drawing her to the tale her made had shared before his passing - before it all fell apart. Tears freckled her eyes as she rested her nose on the kits pelt, pleading within her heart that the spirits she had never seen would stand beside her kit. She named her Dawn Spirit, a name which would would grow to far more than a plea for protection from a desperate mother.

Cinderlight sighed in relief, plucking some leaves off the stalk with his teeth
