Merri is a very compassionate mare and she shows grace and love to everyone. She works with riders that range from special needs children to young children to advanced riders and she shows all of them patience and love. She treats everyone with the same love and respect no matter their circumstance. Her gentle feel calms many of the nervous riders and special needs riders she works with. In the arena, she is very level-headed and calm, making her a very good English hunt seat horse. When she is not giving lessons or in the arena, she is very lively and loves to play with her friends

Sadie. Sadie is deaf in both ears and does not have a lot of friends because of that. But, Merri is very patient with her and includes Sadie in everything she does. Merri is Sadie's closest friend and is always by her side.
Would You Rather?: Apples or cinnamon sticks?"Hmm well I prefer carrots over both of those! Cinnamon sticks sometimes burn a little and apple seeds are a pest at times!
Warm weather or cold weather?"Warm weather for sure. I love spring time and the sunshine. I'm always bundled up and inside in the winter when I would rather be outside."
Swimming or napping?"Hmmm swimming and napping both have their times and places. I would say undecided because I love both. On a hot summer day swimming is great but on a lazy fall day, I love napping in the shade."
Favorite Discipline?"Definitely English eventing. I love jumping and cross-country riding. Dressage is also fun. I do enjoy a good trail ride here and there to just relax."
Cats or Dogs?"Dogs for sure because I am actually scared of some cats. I never know when they want to be petted and when they are going to scratch me. And dogs make great cuddle buddies."
Country Music or Pop Music?“Neither actually. I prefer oldies music. Specifically The Beach Boys and the Beatles.”
Lots of friends or a small group of friends?“I do have a small group of very close friends and I like the fact that all of my friends are my best friends and that we all have deep relationships.”
Would you rather be respected or loved?“I would rather be loved than respected because love goes so much deeper than respect. And with love, comes compassion and kindness from those who deeply love you. Respect is superficial and doesn’t go as deep as love does.”
Would you rather be famous or not?“I would rather have a few great friends and love rather than be famous because I feel if I was famous, I would have lots of fake friends who would want to know me for my status but not genuinely. I value my friends and their love and support.”
