"And yes, I have been through some terrible things. Yes I have been broken and beat up and brought to nothing. Yes, the light in me has been put out. But even after a fire has been put out, it can be started again. Sometimes it takes awhile, and sometimes you need help, but even the ashes can burn into the brightest fire you've ever seen."

A collar of braided leather, each strand representing something different. A dark brown strand, a gift from her brother, symbolizes optimism and hope. A light beige strand, earned from a special competition, symbolizes determination and selflessness. Finally, a black strand, a gift from her best friend, symbolizes remembrance and darkness. Around this is a pouch carrying her trinkets and special valued items. This token always stays firmly on her neck, carrying three stories and three lessons. She doesn't own much else, just a small set of gauntlets made of obsidian that are firmly on each wrist above each paw. She has all four but she started with one, another four stories and lessons to tell.
story
"I was born different. Some call it 'luck' or 'special'. I call it a curse."
A tiny egg sat in a nest in a cave, guards posted in front of it. The eggs parents were crazed after running into a stampede, it was pure luck they had an egg. They had had an egg years ago, way before the stampede but he was fully grown now. Since they were in no condition to care for it, the egg was taken and put into protection by order of the alpha. Suddenly, the little egg began to shake and crack. The guards turned and stared, curious as they approached. Surely the egg wouldn't hatch so early? Yet it did. The egg cracked open to reveal a slightly odd yet beautiful viscet. It curled up and went to sleep while the guards rushed off to tell the alpha the news.
"I was.. mostly normal for the first few months of my life. I was content and happy at least. My brother would look after me. He would visit me and bring me scraps and treasures."
Eternity sat at the mouth of a cave, staring at the thundering storms outside. Her brother, Catcher, promised to visit her today. He had just came back from another one of his travels and promised he brought her something special. He always brought her something special and amazing, every token was tucked in a pouch around her neck, held by a dark brown strand of leather, a gift from her brother when he first returned with gifts. Finally, A lone figure approached pushing through the wind. She stood on her paws, bouncing around the room excitedly. Besides for her ever present care-taker and guard who barely spoke to her, her brother was her only friend. Soaking wet, her brother stepped into the cave, scooping her into a hug while she laughed. "You came!" She cried joyfully. "Of course my precious Flower." He said, using his nickname for her. "What'd you bring me?" She demanded playfully, tugging on his ears as he set her down. "Patience little Flower." He fake scolded, chuckling as he reached into his bag. He pulled out an obsidian gauntlet, clipping it on her front left wrist. "It's magical, little Flower." He explained as she admired it. "The others will appear when you earn them." She smiled widely. "I'm a fairy flower!" She declared, jumping on him. "Yes Flower." He held her in his arms until she fell asleep that night.
"Then... it all changed."
A little viscet scurried over some rocks, trailing a few others close to her age. When she finally was directly behind them, she smiled. "Hey.." She began, clearing her throat. "Could I maybe play with you guys?" The others turned around and stared at her smiling face. Slowly, their faces turned into sneers and her smile dimmed. The middle one began to speak. "Why would we hang out with you?" He said, tail lashing. "Your a freak Eternity." Her ears pinned back. "Shut up Tyron, look whose talking? The boy who can't stay more than a meter away from his mother." She gestured behind her, where Tyron's mother sat, chatting up a storm with a few other parents. Tyron stared, dumfounded. She was shocked herself. Usually she would become wilted and run away. "Yea well um-uh.." He stammered, trying to find a comeback. Behind him, his friends glared. "Your going to pay for that." The one to the left of Tyron snarled, striding forward. "Your a nobody with dimwitted crazy parents." She hissed, looming before Eternity. "And your parents couldn't have gave you a better name Turtle." She shot back, stepping forward. Turtles mouth opened then closed a few times. The one next to them stayed silent. He was all fight and no talk. His name was Obsidian she thought. He pounced at her and she let out a screech. She fought back with unusual strength. The sky began to darken and lightening struck the sky. As her anger grew, the storm seemed to grow. Then in poured on everything. Except.... her. She stopped from fighting and looked up in awe. She moved left and then right. Then just like that, the storm disappeared. Her brother ran up to her, panting. "Little Flower, I should have told you. I am sorry. You have powers, inherited from your grandmother. You can control storms and fight with ultimate strength. I should have told you before you found out. You must learn to control it." The words tumbled out and Eternity listened, for once silent. "Oh. I am a fairy." She smiled before looking down at her paws. Only then she noticed the second gauntlet on her wrist.
"From then on my life escalated. My brother past away and I improved with my powers. I left the pack and began to compete in fighting and unusual skill competitions, trying to drive my thoughts of grief from my mind. I remember when my brother died I earned my third gauntlet, which angered me and caused a flood that lasted for months."
Eternity stepped into a ring, fully grown and head held high. She produced a small tornado and the crowd cheered. Smiling, she showed off, making rain drop down in a certain shapes, created rainbows and made the wind blow so hard it boosted her in the air. Finishing off, she smiled as the crowd roared its approval. She then received a light brown leather strand and a gold stone as her prize. She braided the one strand with her already existent one around her neck and then placed the stone in the pouch around her neck.
"As I grew, I realized I needed to settle. I made friends over the years and became one to come to when in trouble. My best friend past trying to save one of her eggs. I now babysit her other kids when their father is busy. Though I mourned, she gave me a gift as she took her last breath. A black leather strand, which is now braided with my other two around my neck."
The adult Eternity lounged under a tree, watching her friends children play by the river. The youngest, a male, struggled to get out from under his sister who pinned him. "Careful!" She called, chuckling as she made it rain on both of them. They turned on her and with playful screeches, tackling her to the ground. She laughed, letting them settle and cuddle next to her as the sun slowly set. "This is how to live." She murmured, closing her eyes. In the morning she would wake up to find her forth gauntlet had finally appeared.
