Scarf: The scarf is a beautiful mixture of blues, swirling this way and that. The blues are intended to resemble light reflecting on clear water, and under the surface of the water can be seen lovely Koi. The Koi come in varying shades of orange, gold, and white, the occasional 'glimmer' as an imaginary sun reflects on them through the surface of the water. The scarf is fairly long and Koi can be seen 'swimming' all along the length of the scarf. The Middle of the scarf, though, is padded on one side. This was a modification made by Six himself. A thick, soft, blue cloth had been sewn into the scarf so that Nine could tug the scarf up over her head and ears and wrap the scarf tightly around her head to block out the sound. Perfectly situated in the extra padding of the scarf are earphones. (These can be removed if needed) The cord of the earphones can be threaded through tiny 'slots' sewn along the scarf so as to keep it tangle free. There is a slot at both ends of the scarf for the mp3 player and a flap with a button to secure it in place and not allow it to slip free. Due to the extra padding/modifications the scarf is intended to be worn one way (The padding facing in, towards the head.) The scarf itself is perfect, as Nine likes to listen to the sound of water on the MP3 while imagining the Koi swimming around on the scarf to help her fall asleep.(262 words)
Extra: "Do you know why Six is afraid of Seven? Because Seven Eight Nine!"
Nine has always been a nervous viscet, despite always wearing a smile on her face and seemingly spouting optimistic sayings or views. She finds it easy to support others but never to support herself. Growing up in a family as massive as hers was was not easy, especially given her parents didn't even bother to name any children past their first two (Their favorites.) It was a task just to be heard in her family, everyone having to yell over one another, which usually resulted in an argument by the end of things. Nine had always been sensitive to sound, so the sound of the yelling, as well as thunder or other loud noises, would leave her curled up in a corner with her paws over her ears, humming to herself in attempt to block everything out. Though Nine rarely saw her brother Six, as he left home before she was even born, she took to him quickly. He was not loud like the others and he seemed to just enjoy sitting with her. Upon one of his visits Six brought Nine a gift, a scarf. Six showed her how to wrap the scarf around her head just right so that the noise of the world was blocked out. But even more lovely was when he flipped a switch. A set of headphones was sewn into the scarf and gentle music played in Nine's ears, further blocking out the noise of the world. Whenever the world becomes too noisy or unbearable for Nine she will be seen pulling the scarf up over her head and ears and closing her eyes. The music drowns out all others and it does not take her long to relax.
