As a small child tended to get all tangled up counting his own spots, an easy feat now but in childhood he'd be tripping over the numbers while pointing to every individual spot

It's a reason for why he's so tired as well, in the night he'd think about the scenarios of the day and count each person on the train from memory, each cloud that he saw pass by at work, each –– not because he's a logical mind, he's really not, but because counting each tiny // that came to be that day let him remember details so inclusive and minute he'd forget //. He's in full immersion, taking in the multiple, striking blades of grass from the evening only a few hours prior and the specific way each and every one of them swayed in the wind. --
