Persephone, adores ferrets. She loved them through thick and thin. Though there are many reasons why, here are some smaller details.
Ferrets can sleep up to 20 hours a day! And why is that good for her! She sleeps the same amount also! For her, ferrets are good cuddle buddies
Her only ferret, Raccoon And Her are partners in crime, on the outside, they both look cute and cuddly, but on the inside they are both a tiny bit insane. They are theives, robbing bad and wealthy people. Ferrets are good at robbing, better than lousy dogs or impatient cats, Raccoon gets the job done and fast.

Why?;
Solomon has always loved birds but he will forever have a soft spot for the superb bird of paradise. These birds are exceedingly difficult to find in the wild due to their unruly natural habitats but Solomon has always dreamed of seeing one for himself. He loves the bright colors of the males and he particularly likes the famous mating dance of the species; when the boys set their wings together and try to seduce the females. Solomon can appreciate any animal that would go to such lengths.

On a more serious note Solomon inherited his love for the animals from his father, who playfully proposed to Solomon's mother in the way of the birds, by making a sweatshirt to mimic the colors and dancing until she was red in the face from laughter. When Solomon thinks of the birds he thinks of his parents as well and that's where his affection for them began.

Why;

Kongolo was always smaller and slower than all the other Kalon. He would always be picked on and bullied because of this. So Kongulo had always been interested in the small creature he felt so connected to them as if he were one of there kind. His mother would always tell him " Quit plying with the snails , and make some real friends." but his father urged him on to keep his interest in snails no matter what his mother said, and now he waits to find another Kalon who shares the same love as him.

Why?; She also admires them for their intelligence, endurance, elegance, strength, and beauty. Nistheia is a total horse lover and goes off on a tangent every time they're are brought up. She thinks that a horse is one of the most beautiful things in the word, and should be appreciated as such. They move with a certain kind of flow and hold a kind of power to them. She loves looking at the history of horses and delving into the different breeds' pasts and evolutionary progress. Something that really makes her melt is when they rest their feet and it looks super pretty.

Ellen's favorite animal is the Peacock Mantis Shrimp.

Why?;
What's not to love? It's a rainbow lobster, for heck's sake. Not only that, it is also one of the objectively best animals in existence. It has 16 color receptive cones - compared to humans, which have 3 - blue, green, and red.
Another good reason is the fact that the mantis shrimp might be considered some sort of an undersea nightmare - it has two appendages on the front of its body which can accelerate with the force of a .22-caliber rifle. Its limbs move at such a speed, and with such force, that it pretty much breaks physics - the water around the claws boils and makes bubbles which will immediately collapse upon themselves, sending a shockwave which will kill prey before the shockwave even gets to it. The force of these collapsing bubbles also produces tiny bursts of light due to the thousands of degrees caused by the force - basically, don't try to contain them, mere aquarium glass won't hold them.

Also, they're glorious to look at.

Why?;

The blue-footed booby is a hilarious and adorable bird that uses its flashy feet to dance and attract a mate. They eat small fish and dive into the water to catch their prey. Jes loves these amazing birds and finds their little dance laughable. She learned of the birds in biology class at school, and now she can't help but look up endless gifs and videos of the cuties. She even set pictures of them as her background on her phone!

Why?; Okapis are very different animals that are a combination between a zebra, giraffe, and a horse. Giselle deeply admires the interesting combination and says it’s what makes them special. She likes to be different and to find extraordinary things. Like herself, okapis are herbivores and feed off of leaves, grasses, fruits and fungi. Even though Giselle doesn't eat those things herself, she is a vegetarian. She has always had a deep connection ever since she first laid eyes on a baby okapi that she found nestled into a hole in her home. She took care of her, later naming her Grace. The thing that sparked most interest in Giselle was that the females tend to over dominate the males. The females are quite a few inches taller than the male and are much heavier. Giselle always found something so graceful about a crossbred animal.

So unique, so different, just perfect.
