Grappling hook;
While Zeal loves to explore just about any kind of terrain, mountains and cliffsides are his favorite. Of course, this risky exploration would be impossible without his trusty grappling hook. The hook itself is very ornate, and highly decorated. This was given to him by a close childhood friend that he had to leave in order to pursue his dreams of adventure. It's saved him on too many explorations to count. It's his most prized possession, as it not only reminds him of his pup days, but he also has conquered many cliffsides that he wouldn't have been able to without it.
Flares;
One weakness that Zeal has is that...well, his dark vision isn't very good. The viscet keeps multiple flares in his pack at all times in case he's caught without any other form of light. These also double as a signal in an emergency situation, letting others know his position if a nasty fall happens. He hasn't needed to use the flares in that way before, but Zeal believes it's best to be prepared for the worst in every expedition he goes on.
Journal;
Exploration isn't much of a passion if you aren't logging your discoveries! Zeal keeps a journal with accounts of most of his adventures. Along with each entry is a crudely drawn map of the area that was explored. While his mapping skills aren't the best, Zeal loves nothing more than showing off his progress to other viscets. Stories aren't enough for him, he needs hard evidence that he conquered the places he goes, and what better way to do that than recording each night spent in unknown territory.
