Name: Lottie
Gender: Female
::Personality:: Lottie is quite a character. Due to her mental condition, suffering constant delusions from schizophrenia, she may not seem all there, or crazy, which...she is. She does not know this, however, and would absolutely refuse to believe that what she sees is any less real than what anyone else sees. She will have good days and bad days, and these can go by moments as well. Lottie is typically quite a very happy individual, one that could not be happier living in the world which she now lives in. However, there are moments when her lovely world takes a dark turn. For all the angels, fairies, unicorns, and friends, she makes, there are always equally frightening Dragons, golems, snakes, monsters and enemies. She may completely overlook a real person or creature. If she does notice them, her reaction could be absolutely anything, even if the person had done little to provoke a response from her. She may end up wary just because someone looked at her, or ecstatic because someone waved at her. It is just about as random as everything else she does. She is rarely depressed, usually a more happy character than anything else. Not exactly social, again, she seems to be so content with her fantasy world that she has little to no time to focus on the real worlders. Due to Star, Lottie believes she is now the hero of her own story. She may often take on tasks, real or imaginary, that are out of her actual skill level or understanding. She may believe she has an unnatural amount of skill, or can speak a language she has no clue of, maybe that she knows how to preform a complex task that a normal person simply would not know. She will even preform the task as if she knew what she was doing, all the while doing it completely wrong....and claiming that this is the correct way to do it.
::Backstory::Lottie has always been an odd ball, but during her younger years, she was adored for this fact. She has a mind that oozes creativity, a creativity that seeps into the world around her. Her young pack mates flocked to her side every chance they could, each one eager to see what Lottie could come up with that day for them all to do. Lottie was very generous, never wanting to be the hero in her stories, always making sure that everyone had roles that fit them properly and got a chance to take part in something during their play. Lottie was well loved by her friends, though as they grew older everything seemed to change. Hunting became a mandatory part of pack life, those who didn't hunt had to preform other tasks to earn their keep. Lottie never desired to move up in the ranks of the pack, content to stay where she was. She also did very little to participate in assisting the pack as a whole, either, though. As Lottie grew, her mind did as well, she learned from books, being unable to read, she relied on pictures, oftentimes stealing books from nearby homes so that she could have more 'fuel' for the fire that burned inside of her. Eventually, Lottie's lack of participation within the pack grew too much for everyone to simply ignore. Her parents were embarrassed of her, which hurt Lottie to a degree, though her pain soon turned to anger. None within this pack understood her, cared to join her, or even tolerated her. So why should she tolerate them?
Lottie chose to take her leave quite suddenly, before she was even two, her mother pleading with her to stay and simply help with the hunt or some other small task to earn her keep. Her father said nothing, not even acknowledging she was there and leaving. There were no friends who came to say farewell to her, for most didn't even know she was leaving. Through her early days Lottie had always secretly visited the human town that her packs forest border. This was where she typically stole her books from, but she also knew the place to be full of food items too. Lottie found life on her own a little complicated, she had never really participated in the hunt and didn't exactly know how to make a kill for herself, thus, the human town was the easiest path to take. Humans seemed to ignore her just as much as her pack mates had, but she did find a few willing to share their snacks. Human food was absolutely delicious! She felt she never could go back from the cooked and spiced food. Though when she was not hand fed by the humans she was scavenging and stealing from other places. During one of these raids she managed to get into a bad mixture of something she had never smelled or seen before. Humans mix some odd things together, and in the trash these things end up mixing with other things, creating, sometimes, a pretty dangerous potion.
It was most likely here that Lottie's mind blossomed to what it is now. The mixture of bad foods and chemicals led Lottie through the most elaborate hallucination of her life. She had always been creating worlds of her own, but never as real as what she experienced that night. She had gone on a journey through the streets of the human town, hunting down treasure, saving princess', fighting monsters, running from dragons...and gaining a party member...A little floating jellyfish she named Star. After her feast of hallucinogenic trash Lottie was never quite the same. The worlds of which she had once dreamed about visiting were now real. Perhaps she had always been on the edge and the toxic food had simply been the push her mind needed to completely be engulfed in her schizophrenic delusions...
Golems, Naga, werewolves, fairies, gypsies, flying fish, elephants...and more...are what Lottie deals with, now. Lottie has since left the human town and does not remain in one place for long, her spirit longing to explore more of her new world and see all that she can see. She seems to be quite pleased on her own, her line of what is real and what is not is almost non-existent, her mind believing that the things it sees are, in fact, reality. She lives her life almost exactly like a character inside a typical action adventure video game. Though she has only seen these things from a distance, apparently her brain understood a good portion of what it saw. She will constantly seek out treasure, place stats on items...and even attempt to sell them to others, insisting on a worth that may or may not even exist.
Lottie has come to expect bumps in the road and has almost perfected being a survivalist. Keeping with her a rather large pack that has anything and everything that one could ever need when exploring. She is very prepared, whether it be for a drink of water, a snack on the road, a blanket, matches or a lighter, rope, a knife, flashlights, compass, tarp, first aid kit...so on and so forth. Lottie can not read or write, but she keeps a journal regardless, instead of words, she draws the memories on the pages of her books. Sometimes making little comics, sometimes just drawing a single image. She records everything she experiences, both real, and not, in her journal and frequently shows it off or spends a moment personally enjoying these memories.
Why even do they have a jelly friend?: As stated, Lottie was always a creative viscet, but in her stories she was always a side character or someone equally unimportant, allowing her friends to gain the pleasure, and the spoils, of their questing. Perhaps her separation from her pack, the growing loneliness and lack of contact with those who could understand her had been all she needed. Add the mixture of toxins from the garbage and the sudden blossom of schizophrenia and you have Star! The little Jelly companion that acts like Lottie's guide, as well as her courage. Or perhaps the little devil on her shoulder...It is typically Star that leads Lottie into situations that she would never get into on her own. Stealing items, questing, hunting, starting random fires...it is most likely all for Star.
::Relationships::((Pre-story notes. The descriptions seen below are from the viewpoint of a delusional mind. The characters personalities are not exactly like what is perceived by Lottie. I did not want to demonize my beloved characters or Ten's Noah, but this is simply how Lottie thinks/sees things, despite the fact that these three are typically really lovely/sweet characters. ))The Nightmare.(Danika)

At some point during her travels, Star had guided Lottie towards a distant forest in search of hidden treasures, from the moment Lottie entered the forest she knew something was different. The trees here were thicker than most forests, their branches high above twisting together to almost completely block out the sun. The further she went the darker it got, and being so afraid of the dark as she was, Lottie was ready to turn back. It was Star that kept her going, pointing out that such a place had to be hiding an immense stash of treasure or secrets somewhere. Secrets indeed....for as she continue she began to find little signs of life...or...the lack of. Skulls on pikes, bones hanging from branches, feathers on strings, it was an unnatural scene. Some form of monster or witch had to have residency here inside this forest...and it was only a matter of time before Lottie came across her and her terrible minions. Lottie found the three completely by accident, stumbling upon some odd ritual where the three were binding bones together and crafting unnatural figures from them. Necromancy? They were surely seeking to rise an undead army..and surely, Lottie had thought, the horrifying black horned viscet had to be the leader. Clearly female, she was set apart by the crooked horn atop her head. She was the stuff of nightmares, this Lottie knew. Lottie knew she couldn't take on three of them at once, so she attempted to get a better view of her surroundings in hope of finding some advantage over the three. What she found, though, was a human village at the other end of the forest, having emerged upon a small cliff that look down over the village. Lottie knew, then, what these three were doing. They were going to flood this human village with their evil bone creations...they would kill everyone and then make them into their undead slaves! Lottie could not allow this to happen...but she was afraid. After much consultation with Star, the little jelly pumped Lottie up, boosting her confidence and letting her know that this was the moment all heroes are made of. She could save this entire village...
And so she tried...
Lottie had found the three again and with much effort, attempted to kill the Nightmare, only to have her plan foiled by the orange minion. The green one had set on her viciously, wounding her, only a stroke of luck allowing her to escape with her life. Lottie ran out of the forest and hid in the tall grass outside of the forest. There she tended her wounds until the three suddenly appear, clearly having found her once more! The three were distracted, talking among themselves. The two minions were promising that no harm would come to the dark one, the Nightmare. She had to prove them wrong...she had to destroy this dark female and her minions. Yet again she did her best to approach them stealthily, successfully approaching the group without notice. Yet again she went straight for the female, this time the green one knocking her clean out of the air and choking her until she blacked out, the last thing she heard being the dark one to spare her....
Lottie was tortured for weeks from that point on. Left with limbs bound, she could not escape the plains. Refusing to partake in anything the three attempt to give her, she only managed to not dehydrate thanks to a brief period of rain. In the end Lottie was close to starving to death, having given the three little to nothing aside from letting them know exactly what they were. They could not fool her with their false attempts to feed her or give her water. She knew these three were attempting to poison her or place her under a spell. She knew what they were doing with those bones...She knew all about their plan to kill the humans and turn them into undead minions...she knew everything...and she let them know that their evil plan would not succeed...If she didn't kill them, someone else would, she lied, but she told them that there was an entire guild seeking their death.
Lottie had apparently made the green one angry, for he had wanted to hurt her, it was only the command of the Nightmare that stop him. The three vanish, leaving Lottie for four more days before they came back. They had more food with them, this time Lottie did not have a chance to refuse. The Green and Black viscets held her down, the green one prying open Lotties mouth while the orange one shove his paw down her throat, forcing her to consume something sweet tasting....Apple pie. Lottie attempted to throw up, but that didn't work, the three left and return several more times to force the food on her again in the same method.
Lottie was not sure what they were doing, but she knew things were changing. Lottie became confused and the world became dull, less...vivid. They somehow took Star from her, her little jelly vanishing, simply gone. Confusion vanish after a while and Lottie felt odd, less paranoid, but also her mind felt less active. She could focus on real life things, things she hadn't thought about in a long time. She was able to hold a real conversation with the three, who soon unbound her and allow her to stretch herself out. Lottie took note of their kindness and even apologize to the black female for the misunderstanding. She really wasn't sure what she had been doing or even why she had thought Danika had been evil. It was strange...for the first time in a while Lottie thought about hunting, how she needed to feed. The kind Orange male, Noah, kept making her the pie, letting her know that it was important for her to eat it so she could properly focus.
For a short while Lottie did this, finding the three rather enjoyable company, though it was an absence of Noah and his pie for several days that caused Star to reappear. He was the first, just a whisper in her ear, something that woke her up in the middle of the night, shouting to her about several things. What was she doing!? She was being manipulated! These viscets were using her! Don't eat the pie! She was being poisoned! Noah return finally, apologizing profusely about not being their. He had needed to do something at his home. Lottie took the pie and thanked him, promising to eat it as she retire to a portion of the forest that she slept in. Lottie buried the pie each time it was given to her, Star fully returning and scolding her for being so stupid. Star and Lottie came up with a plan....keep pretending to be their friend until the moment was right....
That moment came soon enough, Lottie left alone with Nightmare to pick berries. With knife in hand Lottie watch Danika as she pick her own berries...Lottie had never killed anyone before...only small prey for food purposes. As she watch Danika she became nervous, her eyes filled with tears. She knew what she had to do, though, Star told her that much. In the end, Lottie attacked Danika, stabbing her in the back and running, leaving her for dead. She had stabbed her...she had killed Nightmare. The minions would hunt her down, but she would stab and kill them too. She had to...She had to save those people.
Lottie escape the forest, lingering outside of it for a long while before she caught sight of the three of them....The Nightmare was still alive! Clearly wounded, but still alive! Lottie didn't know how! She had stabbed her! Blood had been on her paws! It was the orange one...He was some sort of healer. He had to be....he had cursed and poisoned Lottie and healed Danika...That green one...he was the warrior, she knew that much. He was strong, he was fast...she couldn't believe it!
Lottie stay where she was, this time. She wouldn't rush into anything else, they would expect her this time...She would bide her time. Sooner or later she would catch the Wicked Nightmare alone and off guard. She knew more about these three, now...she knew where they slept and what they did. She would bide her time...Sooner or later she would win.
***Extra points of interest***Lottie suffers from schizophrenia as well as a grandiose delusional disorder*.
(Grandiose: A person with this type of delusional disorder has an over-inflated sense of worth, power, knowledge, or identity. The person might believe he or she has a great talent or has made an important discovery.)Lottie is afraid of the dark.
Lottie is even more afraid of tight or closed of spaces.
(Only with great coaxing did Star get her into the cave below.)
Lottie adds stats to any items she 'equips'.
Lottie does not like cats....
Her scarf was a quest reward. (She stole it....)
It's stats are
+5 Charisma
