Although I don't speak any Japanese, I do really love the language. The name Ichiko is a girls name meaning first born in Japanese. I thought the name would suit her because after all, if I managed to win her, she'd be my first Kalon and that deserves something special - that something special being her name.

I had originally intended for her to be a boy, but the name Ichiko really clung and grew on me over the few minutes I spent searching for a name. The name is a girls name, and so she shall be just that.

Reason? As many of us know, 'verdant' is the colour green in a fancier saying. Coincidentally, this is my favourite colour, so I was overjoyed to see the splatters of green on this Kalon! I decided that 'verdante' would be a good surname for this kiddo, and added an extra 'e' just for the sake of fanciness.
However, it's the first name that stands out to me. 'Loden' is a rare name that is not heard often - apparently, it is associated with the colour green. It's roots are a mixture - something Nordic but claimed American - and also means that one is strong and quick thinking. I liked this name and I liked how it is associated with Nordic culture, hence, I think it would suit this Kalon beautifully.
