he reminds me of stars, especially the little dots of purple, and the purple reminds me of jellyfish for some absurd reason. I don't really have a reliable answer as to why, but I love the markings and color nonetheless. c:

The world almost looks different, more mysterious, at midnight. Tonight, the stars are shining bright. Even the luminous moon, gazing serenely from the sky, cannot outshine the twinkling stars. There's no noise, no lights on save from the natural ones lighting up the sky. I slip out of the house with only a soft blanket around my shoulders, padding down the deserted street as quietly as possible.
Midnight is often referred to as the witching hour, a magical time where fantastical creatures roam. Even though it's really bright tonight, that's still totally believable. Impulsively, I glance into the shadows in a tentative way, checking for movement. I feel kind of silly for doing so, but nighttime makes everything more mysterious no matter how bright the stars may be.
I reach the boulder I like to sit on and reflect sometimes, it's there where I spread my single blanket out and lie down, gazing at the stars. I'm curious to know more about them, but right now I'm content to just imagine my own constellations and patterns in the sky. Perhaps, though, I can find a viscet who can teach me, one day, about the proper names of the stars I hold so dear.
To my left, in the sky, there is a really bright star. To me, it and the stars surrounding form a sort of crown shape, reminding me of my younger sister. In times past, I loved to create plays for us two to act out, and I would always be some sort of knight or hero saving her, the princess. I remember they were always very cliche but we both adored our parts. Over time we developed characters of our own that we would roleplay as, she was a wise and powerful princess with the power of magic and a crown woven of stars, and I was a knight clothed in deep black armor and a purple banner to match my coat. We enacted many adventures and I think it was then that I became interested in writing poems and songs, although I had no formal training, for I concocted countless rhyming spells for my younger sister.
Perhaps it is time for me to seek the knowledge that I've always longed for, to learn and study, to finally act upon my words, to reconcile with my beloved sister. Perhaps this dark and mysterious, yet shining hour of midnight can inspire me to do so.

"It was a strange
happiness that was
sometimes so big
that it felt like
sadness.
