1 Extra:Standing there letting the wind hit his face. That was his favorite spot. On top of the glaciers where he could look down on everything. He mostly loved looking at the ocean when he was up there. Especially, when the sun was setting. He loved watching all the ocean animals swim around and jump out of the water. He loved it up there it was his get away place. That was before the glacier fell and tumbled into the water.
Hav was standing there in his favorite spot when the glacier started to crack and grumble under his feet. He didn't know what to do so he tried to get away from the edge but the ice wold just scream at him even more. He stood there frozen to death thinking about what could happen next. Then the scariest moment happened, when it all came crashing down. He fell into the freezing, ice cold water trying to keep a float. But it was to strong, the big chunks of ice fell onto his head. Everything went black.
He woke up, not dead yet, floating on a piece of ice. He looked up at where his spot use to be. It was now bare, nothing there but the mountain side far from where he stood. He was staring and wondering what happen to his beautiful piece of ice he would stand on. How would he get back to his family when he was floating out in the middle of the ocean? All of a sudden a big black fin swam pass his face. He knew what it was, it was what he called a black shark. He watched them from high above. How they worked as a pack, how they played together, and how they hunted. They were vicious hunters. They would trap their pray onto a big piece of ice and push the ice with their noses over and over again. Then they would push the ice really hard like flicking an ice cude across the room. Their pray would land in the water and the black shark would have eaten a very light snack. They needed to eat a lot in order to fill their stomachs every day. Hav might be just another light snack for the black shark because he felt that it was pushing the ice that he was on. Terrified for his life, Hav knew he had to get off the ice but didn't want to go into the water because he wasn't that fast of a swimmer. But there was nothing around him, no where to go to if the black shark flip over the ice cube. He was a goner and he knew it, at least he lived a happy life. He wished that he could see his parents one last time before he was eaten, not the sharp teeth of the thing that was going to eat him. He closed his eyes waiting for the moment he would be thrown of the ice and land into the ice cold water. He waited for a long time, waiting for the pain to go away. But it never happened, he was never thrown off the ice chunk. He looked down at the black shark wondering why he didn't push the ice. The black shark just started at him though, trying to communicate with him. He didn't understand it but, he understood certain words. He understood the word safe. But did the black shark mean that he was safe? Maybe it couldn't push the ice hard enough or it wasn't that hungry. Hav knew he was safe though, so maybe just maybe he could find a way home.
He was going to jump in the water and swim to shore, but when his toe touched the water he jumped back. He forgot how freezing it was, even after the first time he fell in the water. He didn't know what do, so he stood there thinking about a way to move the iceberg to land without touching the water. The black shark noticed that he didn't like the water and tried communicating with him again, but he only understood one word: back. Back? What did it mean? What about a back? He watched the black shark move up to the side of the ice before floating beside the ice. He thought maybe it wanted him to get onto it's back, but what would it do after he got on? He decided that whatever happens it would be better than starving to death on that piece of ice;he slowly stepped on, careful not to startle the black shark. As soon as he was on, the black shark started to Sim away. Hav looked back at the iceberg he was just standing on, where he thought he would die, but that was all behind him now. Now, the black shark was going to take him to land.
As the black shark was getting near land, it turned and swam up the coast. Hav threw a fit and demanded to go to the shore, but the black shark ignored him. Soon after, there were other black fins in the water swimming towards them. It must have been it's pack, because they seemed happy to see each other. Hav tried communicating with the creature, asking if that was it's pack, but all he understood was the word pod. "What is a pod?" he asked, but there was no reply. He was so confused by the word pod because he always used the word pack, but he did understand that it was the black sharks family. He wanted to meet them, so he looked down into the water. He saw a reflection of himself. He didn't realize how much he looked like the black sharks. That's probably what saved him back on the iceberg. He watched as the water moved because there was something there. He looked closely at it wondering what was under there, and a baby back shark came up out of the water. It was very playful and happy to see him. Hav tried playing with the little black shark, he couldn't do much though. The baby went down underwater and Hav waited for it to come back up. Then a big wave of water came crashing down on him. He turned around and there was the baby black shark, it had splashed him and it seemed very happy to do so. Then the black shark that he was riding on said something. He understood the black shark because it was a name, a very familiar name, his mother's name, Artic. Artic, the baby black shark, stopped and swam over to her mother, the one Hav was riding on. He now understood that it was a she and she was a mother. She was trying to save him because of her motherly instincts and the fact that he looked like one of them. She also had a daughter and her daughter's name was the same as his mother's. He wanted to see her again, to go home and see his whole family. He tried talking to the black sharks, asking to go home to see his family. With tears in his eyes ready to be released, the black shark swam to the shore.
