Extra:Rift sat there, chuckling to himself. Shallow Halloween music blasted from the house, and his friends sat beside him.
"Hey, no one is coming out. We should go somewhere else." one of them spoke up. They were speaking to him, because he was the master of scare. He turned to face the others behind him, moving his tail to frighten them. They backed away uncertainly.
"I guess..." he smirked. Honestly, he had been tired himself.
"Any ideas?"
"How about something more of a challenge than pups. And plus, we don't need to alert the parents." he decided, trying to think of the best place to go. "Where do they give away the most, or biggest candy?"
"Up there," TJ pointed with his nose. Rift followed the view, and saw it was a house farther up.
Rift sat there for a moment, before beginning to walk towards the house father up. "Alright, I have a plan Let's make sure though."
The others followed his expert instructions, careful to keep to the shadows and cover. Arriving in front of the home, they settled behind a large bush. People passed by, often shivering and wearing coats to cover their costumes.
He turned to the others, eyes narrowed with mischief. "Alright, here's what we need to do. One of you needs to stay here, make some rustling noises when they leave the house. One of you is going to stay slightly father down, and stand in the road when the people turn around. I need it dark." he reminded, hoping they would know not to reveal themselves. "I need the other two to be stationed in the midway point from where I am. One of you will run across, and the other will growl from the bush. When they turn back around, I can jump out."
The others watched him with enthusiasm, hairs bristling with nerves. With a nod, Rift turned around and pranced off, awaiting in his position behind a bush. He sat in wait until he heard the sounds of noisy boys, tucking his ears back with content. This would be a great time to act.
Peeking over just slightly, he saw them hush at the sound of a loud snarl, and a growl. The all stared in shock, backing away towards the next house. He smiled as another loud growl was heard, and one of them dashed across. Rift applauded whomever had chosen to stand in the path, they look like a malicious, devilish viscet. The boys all screamed and ran, and Rift thought one thing,
My turn.Slowly sneaking his tail around the bush, waving it and making noises as if it was its own creature, he felt delight as one of the boys claimed it was fake. The rest snickered.
Then, with a mighty growl, he jumped out from his hiding spot. He let his accumulation of spit drip and fly as he let out a massive roar. The boys gave a loud, pathetic scream, and turned to run. Rift's favorite part was certainly the chase, it gave way to exhilaration, and joy.
Finally, he gave a large jump over one of the bushes, and seemed to virtually disappear.
