Like a needle balancing on a thread Finola is a precise critter, pedantic and a slave to her ideals – too bad the world is constantly trying to tumble her needle pillar of precision, stupid world.
And by world I mean people.
Or other Viscets.
She is certainly not one to intrude on your daily life, oh no, and not one to fall into a nit-picking frenzy of intolerance for your many many flaws. Because she is far too busy not caring for your stupidity, or idiocy, or absurdity if you fancy.
She is occupied by her own endeavours.
Endeavours you say? Why what undertakings could she possibly be searching for?
Easy, Finola is a speedy worker, intimidating in deadly efficiency. So what she needs in her down time is a nice Viscet to showcase her antics too. Oh yes, indeed she is a nasty beastie when it comes to playing with others mentalities. Her favorite method being a battle of wits and mind games, the mind houses the consciousness – why not mess with an intangible thing?
So why is she so serious? And why must she whisper in a snickering tone to herself? These two traits are contradictory are they not.
Finola is a solemn being for she must pretend to float around this world, not part of it in spirit, but of body. She is a Viscet even if she feels it doesn’t do her justice to call herself so. Her own kind holds a certain mundane quality she finds off-putting, perhaps her DNA remembers a time before her species dwindled in numbers? Maybe she has a sensation of loss, as if she’s missing part of what made her a Viscet? And thus she sees it in others as well.
To combat this she snickers at life, and at herself, she buries herself in being fastidious and taking part in a number of games involving the mind, trying to discover what went wrong. She has a ridged code she lives by, a built up of contracts and pacts she promises herself.
Finola is over the top in her dealings with the general public.
She is at a defeat when it comes to finding a stimulating conversation.
She is missing part of herself she doesn’t know how to find.
But she is Finola,
And that is all she wants in the end.
