Prompt:

A startled meow blew throughout the camp, a gigantic pumpkin had rolled into view, missing its top and carrying something with fur on the inside. Snowsong, the clans lieutenant, watched the bright orange ball from afar with caution, he didn't know what could possibly be inside. Approaching the intruding fruit brought him eye to eye with a clean cut opening in the top. He peered inside and almost got an eyeful of claw! Snowsong leapt back and hissed at the gourd, when Mikhail stepped up. He shooed Snowsong away before looking back at the orange intruder.

Mikhail has always been the clans mediator, he is their Seer after all and should know the ins and outs of both the cats physically and mentally. The black ghost cat leaned forward towards the pumpkin, and whispered, "Hello? Do you happen to be stuck?" A single, slow hiss emanated from the squash. Whomever was inside was way less than pleased. "I promise, as Seer of this clan, that nothing will come to harm you within our camp walls. As long as you dont try to blind Snowsong again!" He chuckled a bit at his own joke. Then without waiting, Mikhail lay down in front of the pumpkin rolled on its side, while the rest of the clan went about its day. He talked to the cat inside the pumpkin, trying everything under the sun to get them to come out of the pumpkin. "I dont want to be a nuisance, but if you stay in this pumpkin overnight, you'll freeze to death in the cold." He looked sadly at the entrance to the pumpkin, with his rank he was always worried about others health, even those of strangers in pumpkins.

"You said earlier that I wouldn't be hurt. But hurt befalls all who live." A sweet voice drifted out of the gourd, and instantly Mikhail was reminded of a message from starclan!

'A cat of unusual ways will appear with the knowledge of a seer'

Taken aback by this so obvious message, he actually left for a while to deliberate on the news. Even Ravenamur didn't know where he left to. And when he returned, he walked up to the pumpkin to say, "I realize that I made a mistake, yes I understand that all will get hurt in this life, but I would like to say that I meant our clan will do you no harm. And I would like to offer you the rank of Seer once I am gone. Granted you'll be a Seeker until I have passed, but you have been in my dreams for a while now and I believe this is the right choice." Mikhail paused and waited for her answer. The tension was high in the air for a while before a small dainty paw stepped out of the orange rind of the the pumpkin, and was followed by a sleek she cat with rosettes.

"Does that mean I can help others? Even the non cat folk?" Her eyes pierced through him.

"I believe as long as they won't harm another cat you can bring any animal you wish into calm to help." Mikhail was excited, none of the apprentices showed any signs of being a medicine worthy cat, let alone being able to commune with starclan. If she acce-

"Well were do I start?" The female strode off with a hurry, "and can I keep my pumpkin?"

Prompt: A pumpkin falls into the quarry's clearing. All the cats look over to see the large object. Flintstar rushes over to investigate. The top of the pumpkin seemed to be open, he peered inside. There was a cat, sleeping. It looked as though the fur around her neck was ruffled like she used to have a collar. " What is it Flintstar? " Crowfur squeezed out of the warriors den. " It seems to be a.... kitty pet? " He seemed confused. The cat poked her head up and screeched. " OH MY GOD, WHO ARE YOU WHERE AM I " She yowled, backing into the smallest corner of the pumpkin, trying to escape the many cats staring at her. " Calm down! " He silenced her. " We are Quarryclan. " A voice said from across the clearing. A fluffy beautiful queen exited the nursery and padded over. Kitty looked up at her. She made her feel safe. " Who are you? " She asked, her eyes glittering. " I am Quailsong. " Then queen looked down at her with soft welcoming eyes. " Whats your name, dear? " She asked, tilting her head. " I-I'm Kitty. " She said. " Well, we welcome you with open arms, love! " She gestured for the cats to back up as Kitty slinked out of the pumpkin. Quailsong pressed her nose against Kitty's.

"Come on stonepaw its going to rain soon and then you'll be covered in nasty pumpkin slime" juniperpaw meowed through a small hole he had made so that he could see.

Splat

Juniperpaw shook his head to dislodge what he thought was rain but turned out to be pumpkin guts. The black apprentice gagged from the texture and smell, the pumpkin must have been there for ages!
"There now you can join me in being nasty" came the small voice still ice cold as if leaf-bare escaped through her mouth. Juniperpaw glared, his tail thrashing. Why was she being this way?

Splat

"Stonepaw, cut it out!" He hissed.
Stonepaw stuck her paw through the hole in the pumpkin reaching for juniperpaw, claws sheathed.
"That wasnt me mousebrain! The rain has come and im staying here." A hollow thump came from inside as she planted her bottom down firmly.
Juniperpaw had had enough. He turned tail ready to go home but only made it a few fox lengths when he heard stonepaw's pitiful mew.
"Wait!...juniperpaw...I...I'm sorry."

Juniperpaw halted the internal battle in his mind began: should he go back and see what she needed? Thats ridiculous she would only try to claw him again if he tried to help. Still what if somerhing really bad happened to her?
Juniperpaw groaned as he pivoted to face stonepaw again. Though he didnt take another step forward.

"Hurry up and say what you need im already soaked to the bone because of you."
Stonepaw sighed, "Well you see I'm ugh kinda...stuck".
Juniperpaw's face lifted. It made sense to him now, stonepaw didnt like being wet either. Especially considering her mother died in a river.

Juniperpaw helped stonepaw out of the pumpkin and she was in fact covered in the disgusting juices. The two small cats walked home together, covered with rain and smeared with guts. Stonepaw looked to juniperpaw as they stepped to the threshhold of camp. She seemed to be thinking very hard.
Juniperpaw silenced her busy mind by flicking his tail tip over her mouth.

"Its ok, I wont tell anyone you were stuck. I'll just say we were playing." Stonepaw blinked in gratitude. Though she was rude to him; juniperpaw was now her closest friend.

The two cats walked quietly into the underground tunnel back to their nests for the night was cold.

it took quite a bit to get kaisley out of her shell. or, out of her pumpkin. pumpkin, in the sense, being like cinderella's carriage.

you see, the queen of glaydan, who rose to power so that king timberwatcher could make his transition, has trust issues, and a few select friends. when timberwatcher, then the queen, desired to join her spouse and be king, the monarch needed to choose someone to act as a replacement. glaydan never had just two kings or just two queens - there was always a third cat, a platonic friend of the gay royals, to keep the gender roles balanced. but who to choose, out of all the mollies in glaydan? timberwatcher needed someone sweet, kind to the citizens, and a good example - but also someone firm, with authority of a superior... a leader. the answer was obvious.

"kaisley," timberwatcher tried to come off as cheery to the younger female. "i've chosen you to be queen!"
"yeah, and why is that?" the brash she-cat sneered in reply. "not afraid of me overthrowing you and your husband? how brave. or foolish, i'm not sure anymore, timber." after she had said this, she got up to start leaving.
"kaisley, wait!" the then-queen jumped in front of kaisley. "i trust you."
"quite a bit, i can see." kaisley sighed. timberwatcher understood that kaisley had a rough life up to that point, and had built up thick skin. it wasn't going to be as easy as, 'oh, you're the queen now' 'yay!' - it was always a challenge when dealing with kaisley, which was why she'd be purrfect for foreign affairs. "now, timberwatcher, could you please, err, move?"
"not until you accept my offer." timberwatcher sighed. she had to put her paw down, sooner than later.
with narrowed eyes, kaisley snorted and lashed her tail.

"fine."
