The black tom padded through the forest, eager to meet his TRUE LOVE, Briartuft! Oh how the tom adored they blue and purple eyes! And their soft fur. Softer than the cold, dead tail of a motionless squirrel corpse. He picked up the pace, heart racing with anticipation.

Briartuft shuffled their feet, awaiting the arrival of Crowfeather, the BRAVE AND LOYAL warrior of WindClan. They knew that this love was FORBIDDEN, but they just couldn't help themself. The tom's sleek black pelt was hard to stay away from. It called to them, like the deep depths call to a brave fish.

A rustling in the bush made way to a dark-furred tomcat, Crowfeather. The two felines were meeting at Four Trees, the sacred gathering spot for the four Clans. They both knew this wasn't TRADITIONAL, but love CAN'T BE STOPPED!

Briartuft gasped lightly, rushing towards their companion. Crowfeather accepted the hug, drinking in their scent, loving every minute of it. Crowfeather yawned as the other cat broke away.

"I'm tired, my love. Perhaps we could stay here for the night. I could make you a nest of the softest ferns." Briartuft nodded, and padded over to the Great Rock, curling up to wait for her love. A few minutes later, the nest was made and the cats coiled around each other and fell fast asleep for the rest of the night.

Henfeather had always been what some might call “boy crazy.” It seemed as though she had a new obsession each week — and yes, I DO mean “obsession.” She would spend nearly every waking moment mooning over some tom. Of course, this was obvious to everyone else in the clan except for the tom, who was somehow always oblivious.

This week, Henfeather’s obsession was over a tomcat named “Lionblaze.” He wasn’t even part of the Saltwater Cats clan — no one in the clan even knew how she had found out about this tom. He lived in a faraway clan called “ThunderClan.” She claims that she had met him in a dream, but the other clan cats doubt this. They assume she had wandered off, as she often does, and met him that way.

No matter how they met, Henfeather was absolutely infatuated. His broad chest, his strong shoulders, his handsome silky fur… this was, no doubt, the tom of Henfeather’s dreams. To make him even dreamier, he was the toughest, most masculine cat that Henfeather had ever met. He supposedly had never lost a battle, and he was immune to pain. He could protect her and their future kits with one fell swoop of his massive paw… he was perfect.

Whether or not this love was requited, Henfeather would go on endlessly about the amazing times the two of them had together, his rippling muscles brushing against her fur. Some of the clan cats are skeptical that this tom exists — none of them have ever met him — but Henfeather swears that it all is true, and truly wonderful. Either way, her infatuation with this tom is clearly real, her daily thoughts revolving around him and their time together. She seems sure that one day, the two of them will have a family. Well, she’ll certainly daydream about him until next week’s obsession, anyway.
