Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Although Cecilia doesn't consider wild animals pets, if she had too, she'd consider Jerome a pet. He's the only bird she's ever named. Cecilia is an ornithologist- meaning she studies birds. She mainly focuses on helping injured ones and has seen many happy releases and sad deaths. Jerome is a tufted titmouse. He was injured when ran over by a car, his left leg permantently crippled. He rests on Cecilia's shoulder constantly, as he has trouble in enclosures with other birds. Jerome often makes himself a nest in Cecilias hair, with any ribbons or anything he finds around.

Soft footfalls, flicking ears, lips curl over white teeth and for a moment there is fear. Unmistakable fear that this moment would end poorly, hues like the painted sand beneath his feet widen, limbs shaking. He takes a step, careful, lashing his tail in a warning-- the shine is something distracting, the beast before him focuses on it. He takes the moment, bounds forward, paws outstretched they make contact with the beasts shoulders. Soft fur, a pampered pet, they tussle in the sand. Grit gets in their noses, burns the nostril, they end lying on their sides sneezing haphazardly into each others fur. The Kalon bats the Dingo on the head, the Dingo affectionately catches Allambee's paw between his teeth; soft jawed, the Dingo squeezes, and Allambee wiggles his toes in the beasts maw.
