cherrystar was lucky it was newleaf- if fruitflower’s complaining was this bad during a season where prey was so plentiful, she couldn’t imagine what it would be like in harsher conditions.
she desperately hoped the pacifist she-cat would get over her dislike of hunting soon, or cherrystar’s ears might just fall off from the constant whining!

Whilst enjoying the lovely morning with her little adventure, flame that rises from the ashes noticed a sound. A small sound. She got into a hunters crouch and followed her ears trusting that they would steer her in the right direction. She stopped when she had finally got a look at the noisy thing. She watched...waiting....waiting...bam! She landed square on the back of a mouse. +1mouse, +2FP, +2XP
After flame that rises from the ashes was finished hiding away the fresh kill she looked around happily. She took a deep breath which let in all the scent of the forest. Including something she recognized as being dangerous. She followed her nose until she found it. Deadly nightshade! +1deadly nightshade, +1XP surely the healers would have some good use of it right?

Although she felt her ears might burn down to nubbins from the complaining vomit coming from the very mouth of fruitflower, she did hear something. A rather important something, dinner! She stalked around until she found her target. Fruitflower was behined her, inspecting her paws as they had gotten a tad dirty. Cherrystar tried to signal for her to catch the prey. After all isnt that why they came out together? After several heartbeats of fruitflower looking puzzled cherrystar pushed off the ground and landed a killing swipe on the prey. +1shrew, +2FP, +2XP
Cherrystar was distracted by her disdain at fruitflower not hunting. Meanwhile fruitflower padded along behined her oblivious to her mistake. Neither of them thinking about herbs.

The Sun Keeper pauses, uncertainty flashing across her pretty feline features. Her pale blue eyes widen with alarm, tail tip twitching. That's not good, the she-cat things, tossing her muzzle towards the direction of camp, concerned for their well being. Being alone, she couldn't hope to drive it off in the conventional way through fang and claw, but she couldn't return hope for fear she'd lead it straight home. Ears folding back, she knows she has to think fast to get it further away from camp and other heavily trafficked areas such as this. Maybe she can ask it to leave politely? It worked with a badger once, and a dog, though the case of the dog was more to do with a cat amongst the clan who could understand and reply back, where as the badger could have just been more sophisticated than most. Who's to say. Sending off a prayer to the Moon Cats, and asking for the Earth Mother for guidance and protection, she sets off in the direction of the fox scent with her tail level and eyes brimming with alert determination. She will seek out and approach the fox, and ask it leave her clan be in exchange for safe travels and hunting through their territory. Afterall, they can all live peacefully and share!

softfur was… confident, that’s for sure. whether that was a positive or a negative, who knows?
the two she-cats strode side by side, surely they would return to camp with a decent haul! though softfur might be a bit overzealous in her behaviour, she made a better hunter than the previous cat who accompanied her on patrol, fruitflower. cherrystar was content with her decision to move fruitflower to the nursery permanently, she’d have much better performance there.
either way, hopefully cherrystar and softfur would have a more successful hunt than last time!

Her paws crossed the ground with determination, her tail held high. She stopped at a safe distance from the fox and spoke, before it could notice her. She did not plead, but she spoke of peace. To no avail. Before she could even explain to the predator that she doesn't mind sharing the prey, it attacked. It launched itself from it's spot, teeth bared and growling. Instinctively, The Sun Keeper swung her paw at it, the only action she had time to take. She hit it right in the nose and it squealed in pain and backed off. The fox gave her a look of hate and perhaps embarrassment, decided to retreat and quickly run off into the distance. Battle won, +5XP
Adrenaline still coursing through her body after dealing with the fox, she decided to let off steam on a hunt. +2FP, +1 mouse, +2XP

The duo, having no prior experience working together, kept having different ideas how to go about their hunt and kept splitting up, following different scents and tracks. It was not a fruitful tactic and they ended up not catching anything and found nothing but scraps. +1FP, +1 scraps, +1XP

It was already evening and the moon was bright on the sky when they headed back to their den. Cherrystar had her eyes on the sky and she had a feeling that one of them was shining brighter than the others and it's light seemed to locate on a place on the ground, between some trees and bushes.
