Once everybody’s heartrate had slowed down and their hairs stopped standing on edge, they got back to their temporary shelter, most cats settling down to grow their fur down or lick their wounds. Bumblejoy had left with Violetshade to gather what food they could, knowing that Myrtlewisp and Gentlesmoke would need to rest up and regenerate, returning with the carcass of a hawk and the scraps they had pulled from it.
    [ + 5FP hawk, + 1FP scraps, + 6XP ]

Peonyfrost and Clover sat outside the shelter, the younger cat’s eyes still wide and looking out on the territory while the Guardian kept close watch on everything, her entire body as still as a rock on the ground. Despite taking down the coyote by herself, there was the constant worry of another one coming back for vengeance. All tiredness and exhaustion just seemed to seep away as the worry pushed up.

As the sun dove beneath the horizon and the moon started moving high above their head, Peonyfrost’s nose twitched at an unfamiliar yet familiar scent, her head looking around as she stood up. It took a moment for her brain to catch up to her nose, her pelt starting to prickle again.

“What? What is it?” Clover asked, wide, frightened eyes looking up at the Guardian.

“Owl. Stay down.” Peonyfrost ordered, her eyes not moving from the sky.

After Hazelight’s paws had dried and he had decided to leave camp again, Riverstar called him out for another patrol to see more of the territory, the cats trotting side-by-side as they moved deeper and deeper into the territory. By the time the sun had started to set over the horizon, they had already buried a few catches for later, leaving herbs to scent them a lot better.
    [ + 1FP scraps, + 2FP mouse, + 1 hawkweed, + 1 honey, + 5XP ]

Riverstar was sniffing the ground for another catch when she suddenly felt the anxious prickling of the warrior next to her, her head raising to look over at him. “Hazelight? Are you okay?” She asked, her own nose twitching.

“Maybe? I think I smell someone.” He replied uneasily, ear flicking as he looked around warily.

The leader moved to step beside him and was just about to scent the air for herself when a brown tabby cat pushed through the brush, eyes wide. Almost immediately, the patrol unsheathed their claws, stepping back and preparing themselves for the worst.

“No, no!” The brown cat urged, shaking their head as they took a step back. “I’m sorry. I’m Fennel. I seem to have lost my friend, and I’m just trying to look for them. No harm, really.” They assured, their tail raised in slight alarm. “Please, by any chance, could you help me look for them?”

The day was going splendidly, the sun basking into the trio’s pelts and alighting their hearts with both joy and a sense of sereneness. The wind seemed to brush through their fur in a way that seemed to remind them of a joyful dream, the weather perfect for a tromp through the fields.

Their baskets had already been filled to the brim, some herbs that were hiding along the sunflower stalks sitting on top of their collection for the day. Luckily, prey had been plentiful throughout their entire patrol, leaving them a bit of extra time to really soak in the wonderful day.
    [ + 1 tormentil, + 1 stinging nettle, + 1 water hemlock, + 3 XP ]

“Don’t you wish every day could be like this?” Maplelight sighed, laying on her back, her body hidden in the soft cascade of the sunflowers. A hum of agreement came from the cats flanking her on either side, both also gazing up at the skies above them. "Clear skies, warm weather, plentiful prey. Just perfect."

"Perfect." Strawberrysorbet murmured back, her voice wistful in the calm.

Grass brushed against Ratstar's ankles as he pushed through the territory, his nose twitching at the multiple fragrant scents that brushed into his nose before getting carried away the wind. It had been a long, yet fruitful day, multiple bounties of prey laying in shallow graves behind him, and yet it seemed like there was still so much to do.
    [ + 2FP mouse, + 2FP mouse, + 4XP ]

A couple of pawsteps ahead, it's head ducked down to smell at a particular scented set of herbs, his ear twitching as he racked their brain for an answer. With a soft sigh, he steadied his paws on the dirt surrounding the plant, grasping the stem with his teeth until he could pluck them out of the ground easily. They took their time threading the herbs into their pelt, making sure that they would stay sturdy as he walked.
    [ + 1 alder bark, + 1 marigold, + 1 lungwort, + 1 raspberry leaves, + 4XP ]

Right after getting the herbs situated, a crack of a twig caught his attention, his head raising in alarm as his ears strained to listen closer. A slight jolt of a flinch hit his body when a cat appeared in front of him, his heart thudding against his ribcage and words lost in his throat.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to frighten you!" The stranger purred in amusement, eyes closing for just a moment. "I was just looking around for my friend. We were out hunting, but they're known to get a little ambitious and wander off. Tell me, have you seen them by any chance? I promise I'll get out of your fur soon!"

A beautiful morning set the cats of the Crow's Nest to lay anchor near an unknown island. Four crewmates set out on a patrol of the island. Captain Seagull Watcher led the patrol as usual. His eyes scanned the shoreline ahead while his macaw flew as a scout way above them. Occasionally the quartet could hear a screech that echoed across the sea breeze. Quartermaster Gilded Stone was just a few pawsteps after their captain. Their sharp eyes studied the sand and shore. Behind the pair, Gunner Sable Ash moved in near silence, their wary gaze sweeping the horizon, while Sailing Master Coral Fang brought up the rear, tail swaying happily as the salty air brushed against his fur.
"Anything?" Seagull asked, though his voice was more of a rumble than an inquiry.
"Not yet, Captain, but the tide's low," Stone was the one to reply, "perfect time to find stuff that's washed ashore?"
Coral, ever the optimist, was already keeping an eye out for the glint of treasure among the rocks. "All you want to find are dumb rocks," he joked, surging ahead to playfully bump Stone on the shoulder, "we gotta find something good today, boys!"
Stone rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to reply to his crewmate but what came out was, "By the Stars, look at that!" They flicked their tail towards a shape near the edge of the surf. At first, it looked like a massive boulder, but boulders don't normally have long necks like this one did.
The patrol approached cautiously and the creature turned it's long neck towards them. It seemed to watch them with disinterest as a piece of algae hung out of its mouth. Sable took a few steps closer, recognition in his eyes. "It's an old tortoise," he muttered, half in disbelief, "didn't think there'd be any of these on this island?"
The rest of the patrol followed Sable's steps. Knowing what this creature was left them at ease.
Stone crept close enough to place a delicate paw on it's shell. "It must be ancient," they remarked while examining the moss and barnacles that grew on it's shell, "I bet it's been roaming these shores longer than any of us have been alive, longer than generations of us have been alive really!"
"Think I can ride it?" Coral asked and didn't wait for an answer. The rosetted tom did a mighty leap to land square on the back of it. The tortoise let out a noise and immediately pushed the cat off with it's head. Coral landed back on the soft sand, pride bruised, "it, uh, it can handle itself."
The rest of the patrol padded away from the tortoise, laughing at Coral's expense. It was time they kept patrolling onward. However, a squawk from above alerted them to something and before they had time to look up at Crimson, an object landed in the sand. Seagull smiled at his bird, "looks like Crimmy's found somethin' herself." Nestled in the sand was a perfect spiraled shell, its swirling colors of pink, orange, and cream shimmered in the light of the morning.
"Now that's something," Stone said, eyes wide with excitement. They padded to it and hooked it with a claw to examine it. The shell was perfect, despite being dropped from some height by an overly excited macaw, and incredibly beautiful. "I'd call this treasure, must've come from deep water."
Sable, standing back slightly, glanced between the tortoise (who had started moving away from the water and the crazy cats) and the shell. "Strange things find their way here it seems," they muttered, though there was a hint of curiosity in his usually guarded tone, "the ocean always has secrets."
Seagull gave a slow nod, his gaze thoughtful as Crimson swooped back to land on his back. "Secrets worth findin'," he agreed, "put the shell in your pack, Quartermaster Stone, lets keep goin'."
As the patrol continued their way down the beach, leaving the tortoise to its slow journey, the four cats wondered what else might be on this island.

On the shore of Aurora Coast, Queen Sinai was out patrolling her clans territory, a recent storm had passed, which caused fresh shells to wash up on its shores, Sinai loved going out after storms, hunting for shells and shark teeth. Sinai took her time walking along the waters edge looking for the perfect tooth or shell to add to her collection back in her den, a tunnel of caves connecting the little ocean alcove to a forest. Not far from Siani, a loggerhead turtle was resting on the shore, turtle season was at its end, she must have been one of the last turtles lay a nest and to leave their beaches until the next year, Sinai let her curiosity get the best of her, taking her time to not startle the turtle as she admired it's shell, the turtle not appreciating the Queens approach flapped a flipper again the sandy ground, warning her to stay back, respecting the turtles warning, Sinai changed her direction and went back to exploring the beaches edge.

"what's wrong???" bobbie tilted his head, frowning a bit in dismay. he scratches his head and giggles nervously.

"have you brushed your teeth?" sunnie scooted a few steps back, her paw waving in front of her face to ward of bobbie's stink. "your breath smells very very very very very very- EXTREMELY bad!" she then runs away at top speeds, coughing uncontrollably and disappears into the sunset.

"WHAT?????" bobbie is very very very dismayed, his mouth curving into an upside down smile. he's very wounded by this. "yo, bleu! come smell my breath."

"no way dude." bleuenn recoils instantly at the suggestion. "just so you know, your breath always stinks but everyone is too nice to tell you."

bobbie's jaw drops open. he cannot believe is ears! "that cannot be true! you simply must smell my breath... just to make sure!" he runs towards bleu at top speeds and breathes into her face many times.

"no no no no-- stop this bobbie! your stink... it's too much for me to bear!" bleuenn sputters and coughs, falling backwards dramatically, before getting knocked out by bobbie's stink.

"oh great! what have you done???" souci exclaims, his paw clapped over his mouth. his face goes very very very pale. "what is shes dead? what if you've killed her because you were so stinky????" his eyes go extremely wide. "how could you do such a thing??? you murdered her!!!!" souci shrinks back from bobbie and falls to the floor dramatically and then bonks his head on a tortoise shell. "OWWWWWWWW!!!" souci shrieks, rubbing his head and cries into the turtle's shell, using its shell as a tissue for his runny nose🐢 .

WARRENCLAN
i | ★ | ii | ★ | iii
Last Explore Post | Last Response Received

It was coming up on a year since the founders of WarrenClan had reached the valley. Their leader Aspen had started the pilgrimage from a place unknown, and had recruited stragglers — loners, outsiders, discontents — along the way. The trip was rough and dangerous, and oftentimes Aspen’s only direction between direct messages from StarClan were leaves in the wind, migrating crows, and nightmares. Most cats that had joined would later abandon the journey to settle elsewhere, yet Aspen did not waver. Their visions were stubborn, and so they were too.

Eventually, Aspen and their small group of followers finally arrived at the lands Aspen had been dreaming of for years. A valley surrounded by low mountains, with vast grassy plains between patches of sparse forest, winding rivers filled with fish and waterfowl, where prey ran wild and predators seldom grew hungry. They spent the next moon or so simply exploring, playing in the rivers and grassland in the waning Greenleaf. When the leaves began to change colors, they easily found the stand of aspen trees featured prominently in Aspen’s visions; the very grove that Aspen had fashioned their name after long ago. There was an abandoned cluster of rabbit burrows among the trees, and the cats used those as dens, expanding them as they saw fit.

The group’s first night among the aspen stand, Aspen received a final vision from StarClan, telling them that they had succeeded, and earned both their nine lives and their new name, Aspenstar. After some thought, Aspenstar christened the newly founded clan as WarrenClan, after the rabbits who had unknowingly created the clan’s first home.

The cats of this fledgling WarrenClan were small in number, but their respective journeys had made them resilient. They quickly carved out their territory, camouflaged their burrows, adapted to the strange new prey and predators. Their burrows protected them from the harshest of their first Leafbare, and when the snow melted that Newleaf and the rivers rose on the floodplain, making their home inhospitable, the adaptive WarrenClan moved to higher ground, finding a lone-standing aspen copse surrounded by open meadow, digging burrows from scratch to make their summer home.

Almost a year since Aspenstar received their name, WarrenClan was thriving. They were still very small, but they had grown some in the way of recruiting outsiders. The newest of which had come only a couple of moons ago at the end of Newleaf, a young she-cat by the name of Figbreeze.

Figbreeze was a friendly cat. She had arrived battered, bruised, and exhausted from her lonely journey, but WarrenClan had welcomed her with open arms (legs? paws?) and accepted her as a full warrior.

Though their kindness was readily apparent, Figbreeze couldn’t help but feel out of place among this tightly-knit colony: their shared pilgrimage had bonded them deeply, far past the idle chit-chat and surface level pleasantries that were Figbreeze’s go-to, and she doubted she’d ever have as close of friendships as these cats did, even if she had a lifetime to chat.

There was one cat, however, who seemed to have made no friends throughout the journey, and treated others like acquaintances at best. Larchfreckle was a thin, surly medcat with a penchant for rolling his eyes whenever he’s mildly inconvenienced. During a hunting patrol a moon ago Figbreeze tripped and thought she sprained her ankle, and when she limped to Larchfreckle in tears, he looked at it for about a second and then gave a very loud, very disappointed sigh.

“You bruised it,” he said curtly, before he quickly, but meticulously, cleaned the area, applied a poultice, and bandaged it in a way that wouldn’t interfere with her day-to-day, all in under a minute. Then he rushed her out of the medcat den.

Figbreeze wasn’t quite sure why, maybe she was a sucker for a challenge, but this brief and all-but-friendly interaction made her determined to befriend him.

She would go out of her way to greet him every morning despite the weird looks she got, from both her clanmates and Larchfreckle. She volunteered to bring him his freshkill whenever he was too busy to grab it himself (which was nearly every day) and through trial and error figured out that while he absolutely loved marmot and hare, he refused to eat anything with feathers, and he had a crippling phobia of fish. When she overheard Larchfreckle admitting to Aspenstar that he was hoping no one needed a garlic treatment anytime soon because they were running low and he loathed collecting it, Figbreeze went out of her way during her hunting patrol to grab bushels of wild garlic, and returned to camp, reeking, with a grin on her face and garlic between her teeth. Seeing Larchfreckle’s confused grin was worth going noseblind for a week. It took all summer, but eventually, Larchfreckle began to greet her back when she said hello. They didn’t talk much beyond that, besides whenever she’d drop off his freshkill, but Figbreeze was happy with their progress.

One morning, at the very end of Greenleaf, Aspenstar was assigning patrols. When it came time to assign Larchfreckle a warrior “bodyguard” for his patrol, Figbreeze didn’t think much of it. From what she heard in whispers, Larchfreckle didn’t need a bodyguard to defend him, and the job usually consisted of simply carrying the herbs Larchfreckle collects. Oftentimes Larchfreckle would just turn down a warrior helper altogether, but if he decided he needed one he’d always let Aspenstar pick them. So it was a shock when Larchfreckle spoke up and requested Figbreeze to help. So much of a shock, in fact, that for a few seconds Figbreeze just stood there dumbstruck.

“Are you coming?” Larchfreckle’s voice snapped Figbreeze out of her stupor.

“Oh, uh, yeah!” She quickly padded to catch up with him, ducking her head slightly at his side. “Sorry.”

The two left the short shrubbery that acted as a guild line for the camp’s borders, and Larchfreckle explained shortly that they would be traveling down to one of the seasonal ponds to collect water-based herbs like marsh marigold and celandine poppies before it dried up in Leaf-fall.

As the duo made their way down the hill, away from the aspen copse, the silence made Figbreeze increasingly fidgety. She had never talked to Larchfreckle outside of a social setting, and never for more than a few minutes at most; she got the feeling he wasn’t a cat for small talk. Now, one on one for a half-day patrol, she had absolutely no idea what to talk about, and found herself lagging slightly behind him.

“Nice…nice weather,” she tried, failing to not visibly cringe at her attempt.

“Not bad,” he responded, and after a moment’s hesitation he added, “Cloudy.”

Slightly emboldened by his somewhat positive response, Figbreeze walked a little faster to catch up with him, matching his brisk pace. “Think it’ll rain?”

The black tabby glanced skywards for maybe a second before responding, “Nah. They’re grey, but stretched too thin. Figure they’ll dissipate by sunhigh.”

Figbreeze racked her brains trying to think of something else to say, but to her surprise Larchfreckle beat her to it. “We’re here.”

They had reached a level section of the grassy hill, and a few thin trees broke up the otherwise unbroken field of late summer wildflowers. A few paces in front of them was a pond Figbreeze initially didn’t see, as it was obscured by weeds and tall grasses, and past that the hill continued downwards into thicker woodland. Looking again at the pond in front of them she realized that there was a small concealed stream feeding into it, and Larchfreckle must’ve been following it this whole time.

Figbreeze sniffed at the edge of the stream, before looking back up at Larchfreckle. “How did y- Whoa,” something past him caught her attention.

Larchfreckle glanced back at Figbreeze, and followed her gaze to the treeline below. The scattering of trees around them condensed into a thick forest not far down the hill, but it abruptly stopped. In its place was scorched earth and blackened trunks. From their camp high up in the hills, it looked like a rather small patch of oddly-colored trees in the distance, but close up Figbreeze could see just how expansive the destruction was. “What happened?” she asked with soft awe.

“I don’t know.” Larchfreckle’s tail flicked as he considered the burned land. “It was like this when we got here. Aspen figured — sorry, Aspenstar figured it was a couple of years ago.”

“How do…how do they know?”

“Beats me. I was a city cat before all this,” Larchfreckle turned and flicked his tail at Figbreeze. “C’mon, before we lose daylight.”

It was like two hours before sunhigh, but Figbreeze bit her tongue and followed. City cat?

Moseying on up behind Larchfreckle, the she-cat watched as he sniffed at the murky surface of the pond, and gingerly touched his paw to the water with an odd expression on his face. “Okay, okay. I’m going to show you how to collect the herbs in the water. It’s time-consuming, but hard to mess up. While you do that I’ll collect the ones that grow on the edges of the pond, got it?”

“Okay!” Figbreeze perked up, excited to be useful, and Larchfreckle looked almost relieved at her eagerness to help. “Can I ask you a question though?”

“Yeah?”

Figbreeze pointed to the center of the pond. “What’s that giant thing moving in there?”

Wha—” Larchfreckle’s head whipped around so fast Fig felt dizzy, and sure enough, there was a large shadow in the water, and it was moving. “GAHH!”

Larchfreckle jumped back a fox-length, his back arched and teeth bared, and he braced to make a run for it, but when he turned to his companion he realized in horror that she had put her paws in the water.

“Figbreeze!”
he hissed, ”What are you doing?

But the she-cat payed no attention to him or his frantic tone. Instead, she remained crouched over the water’s surface, swirling one of her paws in and…cooing? “Here, fishy fishy fishy…”

“F-ha!“ Larchfreckle scoffed in frantic disbelief. “F-Fig this is not the time for hunting!”

“Shhh, you’re going to scare him away,” Fig whispered, barely giving a flick of her folded ear. “And I’m not trying to hunt him, I’m — aww, there’s the lil’ guy!

Larchfreckle could’ve had a heart attack right then and there, but instead he watched as Figbreeze waggled her paw to lure out — a turtle?

Yes, it was a 🐢. A somewhat flat terrapin with an intricately marbled shell, slowly meandering his way out of the water and towards Figbreeze’s paw, as if in a trance.

Hackles lowering, Larchfreckle let out a huge sigh of relief, but stared as Figbreeze seemingly bewitched the terrapin into following her. The tom watched, utterly perplexed, as Fig then dashed away into the grasses. He and the terrapin awkwardly made eye contact with each other for a moment, before Larchfreckle looked away with… embarrassment? What in the Dark Forest am I supposed to do right now? Introduce myself? Am I supposed to introduce myself to a turtle? What is happening? Then Fig came back (Thank the stars) with a mouthful of dandelions, and dropped it in front of her new friend.

“There you go!” She purred as the terrapin began to snack, and then her face dropped when she saw Larchfreckle staring at her, jaw agape. “Ah, sorry Larchfreckle, I got distracted,” she gave an embarrassed chuff of laughter.

Larchfreckle shut his mouth. “No that’s… alright, I’m just a little shocked is all.” He stared down at the oblivious terrapin happily munching on yellow blooms. “Why… Where’d you learn to do that?”

“Oh, well,” Figbreeze gave a somewhat flustered laugh. “I just— well, my Two-legs had a pond at home, and sometimes a terrapin would wander in. I, um,” she shrugged, and looked away. “Didn’t really have a lot of other cats to talk to. So I’d talk to whatever wandered into the garden.”

“Did…” Larchfreckle blinked, wondering how stupid this question would sound. “Did they talk back?”

“No, not really,” Figbreeze tilted her head, thinking for a moment. “They all had stories though. I could tell.”

Larchfreckle nodded, not quite understanding what she meant by that. But Figbreeze looked embarrassed, and so he didn’t push it. Even though he had a huge load of follow up questions.

Figbreeze laughed to break the silence after a few seconds. “Anyways, um, how do I do this again?”

It took Larchfreckle a moment to realize she was talking about the herbs. “Oh! Here, let me show you.”

Althea sat in the witches cabin once more, sorting different supplies with Everbound. It was just another average day, she picked up a small SHELL tucked into a corner of the cabin and brought it back to where they were sorting everything. That was when the door shifted open and Althea perked up to see who had just entered the witches cabin. It could only be one of three cats, Eirine, Orev or Atlas.

When she turned around, though, her eyes lit up and she couldn't hold back her smile. It was Atlas. She beamed at the sight of them and immediately stood up to greet them. That was when Eirine also came tumbling in, with Orev on her heels. The elder gave an apologetic dip of his head as Eirine barreled into the cabin. Atlas chuckled at how excited Eirine was to be back near the witches and Althea couldn't help but return the chuckle.

Atlas dipped their head to Althea and her tail swayed gleefully. Eirine tumbled into her once more and Althea laughed as she picked her up by the scruff. "Careful there.. You'll knock something over.." Althea chided warmly, a smile on her face despite the cautious words. She gently set Eirine back down on her paws before stepping back and looking over all the supplies that they had. "Everbound?"

"Yes, Althea?" Everbound chimed back, not even lifting her head before responding.

"Is there anything I cat fetch for you? It looks like we're running low on a few dragon scales and unicorn hairs?"

"Ah-" Everbound paused before lifting her head to acknowledge Althea. "If you wouldn't mind, bring Atlas with you if you want, you two together can carry more supplies that one alone." Althea couldn't help it as she beamed at Everbounds response.

"Will do!" She chirped warmly before bringing Atlas with her, not giving them much of a choice in the matter. Althea lead Atlas out past the walls of the Kingdom. Sentries let them go out past the wall, keeping a fair distance away from both of them. Atlas remained close to her side, subconsciously scouting where they were both headed. Without looking where she was going, she nearly tripped over a 🐢.

She yelped before bumping into Atlas, making them catch her so she didn't fall. Atlas frowned and looked over at her. "You okay?" They inquired gently, trying to ensure the trip had not hurt her. Althea could feel her face warm up at their genuine concern and she nodded, turning her head away.

"Yeah,, yeah,, i'm fine.. just shocked me a bit, y'know?" She mumbled sheepishly. Atlas just frowned and brushed their tail over her back to ensure she wasn't just lying to them. Althea kept her head turned away at their concern, unable to comprehend the concern that they held for her.

"Are you sure? We can keep looking later if you're hurt?" Atlas offered to her once more, their eyes filled with concern. She couldn't help but feel utterly stolen by their eyes, as though their eyes had stolen the northern lights, or the morning sunrise. Althea was embarrassingly enraptured in their gaze, in the concern that they held for her in those strikingly beautiful eyes. Her gaze nearly immediately goes to the ground instead, trying to stop staring at their eyes.

Atlas frowned and stepped closer to her once more, their head lowered to peer at hers. "Althea, look at me.." They murmured gently, their tone coaxing and gentle. It was so welcoming, like a big warm blanket that could swallow her whole and keep her warm on the coldest of nights. Their voice wavered her will to not look at them and Althea finally gave in and met their eyes once more. "Please be honest with me, Althea, are you sure you still want to keep going? We can stop and turn back, nobody is forcing you, and I'm pretty certain Everbound with prefer you to remain injured.." They coax once more.

Her will finally broke and she met their gaze once more. "I promise I'm fine for now.. lets just.. lets just walk a little bit less than what we planned to before.." Althea murmured hesitantly. Atlas reluctantly accepted her answer to their question and let her off.

"Okay.. just let me know if we need to head back because I don't want you to get injured.." Atlas murmured softly. She nodded and gently nuzzled her nose into their fur comfortingly.

"I'll let you know,, I promise.." She murmured gently before continuing to walk. Atlas relaxed a little bit with that response and let her continue on. They followed behind her carefully, keeping a silent eye on where she was placing her paws to ensure she didn't trip over something yet again. The last thing they wanted was for her to actually get injured.

Althea didn't notice how much attention they were paying to where she was stepping and just continued to lead the way, although slower than before, her paw still a wee bit sore from the trip. After awhile, Atlas finally started walking beside her once more. Her gaze was focused on where they were both walking. With them walking for a decent amount of time she finally found some dragon scales for them to bring back to Everbound. Those were one of their most used resources as the witches, they could be manipulated to be used in plenty of different potions.

There was a new found pep in her step as they both retrieved the dragon scales. Atlas chuckled softly at how excited she appeared to be and bumped her with their shoulder. "Excited, are we?" They tease warmly. Althea could feel her face burning up again and she glanced at her paws shyly. There was another laugh from Atlas before they shifted her closer with their tail. "Oh c'mon, I'm just teasing you silly," they purred again and peered over at her.

There was a moment of quiet again between them. Something had settled and Althea realized just how comfortable she felt around Atlas. Surely this meant nothing, right?

Yeah.

Of course..
