STORY

"fetch me a cleaning rag." The smug silver tabby glowered down at our respective kitten. Well, they weren't a kitten, but might as well be in the presence of this 'prince'. Royalty always made them shiver, and quake in fear thanks to Ai. It was their job though to take care of Ai as a personal servant. With an almost pleading look, the servant nodded to the royal son and stepped out of his chambers.

A moment later they returned with a rag suitable for the snobbish tom. A two-leg device that was called a towel, or rag. The tom used it to clean off, and tossed it atop of the servants head with a sort of nonchalant manor, as if he simply tossed it on a towel rack where it belonged. Our servant didn't flinch, despite the desire to.

They left without a single argument, though their face displayed a sadness in it. The cat was about to somber off, but as they were putting the towel away they heard a voice. "What are you up to?" At first they flinched in the thought it could be Ai coming out to ridicule them, but no it was another servant. A well known one around the place known as Kiri. "You need any help, I could lend an extra paw."

They simply nodded, unable to speak. They were mute ever since they were a child, but everyone around the kingdom knew this. Kiri continued as they folded the two-leg clothe together. "Quite the job you've taken up my friend. Ai is troublesome." The two pulled the rag over the wall to dry, so their mouths were full for a moment. "You should learn to spend some time away from him once and a while or you will lose yourself, join me in a game stick-paw sometime. You'll enjoy it and it will give you something to do other then work. Also, you might make a friend." Kiri smiled, and after a nod from the co-worker the two parted.

Bullfrog is an easygoing, laid back trail runner. She's nearing middle age and wants to start a family sometime soon, but she can never quite seem to find the right time, place, or partner to do so. Despite her calm demeanor, she's a little anxious that she'll never have kits of her own - she's spent time in the homestead caring for kits occasionally, and she's trained quite a few timbers herself, but she wants a tangible legacy. She knows she's made an impact in the training and care of her future clanmates, but Bullfrog wants more. Sure, she's mentored and fought and ran and explored for her clan - but she's ready to settle down for a few moons at least and be the caring, nurturing mother that her own mother was.

She wants to pass down her skills to her own kits, as selfish as it may seem after her long run as the clan's favorite mentor. She knows that she will not be the one mentoring them, but chances are high that one of her own former timbers will receive her future kits as their timber. Then she can sit back, take on her duties again, and know that they are in good and capable paws. Some cats dream of leadership, of a grand life full of hard fought battles and adventures that make your heart race - but Bullfrog has never aspired to be anything more than herself. She knows her worth. She knows she has been a great asset to her clan, training the next generation of trail runners. And she knows that one of these days, there's going to be a few little tadpoles that look an awful lot like her running around the homestead and peering into the tunnels, out over the plains.

The Rigi clan are ruthless, unforgiving and truly a force to be reckoned with. Might makes right, the ends justify the means, and the only sin is defeat. They have developed a warrior culture that believes strength is everything, their fierce courage and barbaric nature becoming well known in Cattioepia. It is essential for survival out in the wastelands, especially whilst living amongst the most dangerous predators known to catkind; the giant sand worm. Although life in Rigi is tough, it is not as tough as their leader.

Without their overruling master, the Rigi clan would not be what it is today. He is infamously cruel, vicious and destructive. While incredibly experienced in battle, he also seems to be very familiar with utilizing fear, humiliation, and power-plays to get inside the minds of others. His grin is awfully captivating, known to taunt even the most sly of cats. He manages to keep everyone paralyzed with fear using only words and a frightening presence, suggesting an intelligence far beyond that of a simple "Rigi cat". All brute no thought are what most of them are known for, but not their leader, he would never allow such a thing. The Rigi leader has a code of honour, as he will side with others if they have a common enemy or he legitimately respects or admires someone- which may seem impossible, but can occur.

His creation will mean that Cattiopeia is one step closer to a full-fledged war led by the Rigi. They have gone off the radar for a few moons, which is unlike them- they usually love to cause a lot of chaos. Especially Sickle, the leaders right-hand man. Sickle is the Rigi bladerunner, a rank given to the most agile cat who scouts the territory and protects the clan from giant worm and other predators. Sickle and the Rigi master have known each other since kithood, and have a bond that'll last their lifetimes.
