it's why i love fables sooo so much; seeing everyone pour their hearts out into their art and writing
is so inspiring and will never fail to make me want to do the same with my own beloved characters ~
but anyway, i recently went to see an exhibit hosted by a local artist collective, and it really got the
creative juices going! you can see a bunch of (cs-safe) pieces here but the one below was my favorite
by far, it was SO striking; it's called "i'd like to see ai make this" by lifeofapaintbrush and made
entirely out of painted polymer clay!!

like??? the colors??? the attention to detail??? the punchy title!! the entire piece just SPOKE to me

Prompt: A gentle breeze blowing through the tall grass is the only thing that reminds her of home. The one true natural accruing event that can put her at ease. Greyshrub was born in a prairie field in an old abandoned rabbit burrow. Her mother was quick to teach her how to scout the surface. Placing her ear to the earth allowed this trained kitten to hear the vibrations of steps. The sun needed to be beaming down on her to feel the love of the prairie. Huckle didn't need that hot sun beating down on him, he much preferred the shade from Greyshrub's underbelly. Don't think for one second that these two couldn't blend in anywhere but once that tall grass consumed their silhouettes, these two were as hard to find as gold! The sparkle that would shine within Greyshrubs hazel eyes was worth the long trek to find home. The little bit of blue in her eyes would beam like the sun amongst the yellow blades of mingling grasses. (170 words as of 5/16/26)
