What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

These 3 darlings were dropped off earlier this morning and seem to get along fine! In fact, they look oddly like the pets in an app called "HelloPet". Hm..

Why the obsession with carrots?: When Dusty was a pup, his owner abandoned him and left him to die. Dusty was heartbroken. He tried to chase after the car when it drove away, but he couldn't run fast enough, so he stumbled and fell. He laid there for days, injured and unable to move. He was about to give up on life until he saw a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye. He looked around, frightened. Then, something appeared. It hopped out of a bush and cautiously walked over to him. It was a bunny! Of course, Dusty was so young, he had never seen a bunny before, but he sensed that it was safe. He let out a whimper, trying to tell the bunny that he needed help. It ran away at the sound of the noise. Dusty was disappointed—he had been so close to being saved! However, the bunny soon came back, and this time, it had reinforcements: five other rabbits, a raccoon, a robin, and a baby deer. Together, all of the animals helped pick Dusty up, and they placed him on top of the deer. The deer carried him back to a tiny burrow under a large pine tree. It then dropped him off there and left with the raccoon and the robin. The bunnies took good care of Dusty. His injuries soon healed, and he was the happiest pup around. He grew up with them, so he learned to love the things they loved—including carrots! Carrots quickly became his favorite food. He loved them! They were fun to dig up, and they could even be used as sticks for playing fetch (except they were edible, which made them so much better). As the years passed, the parents of the bunnies grew old and, unfortunately, died. The five remaining bunnies and Dusty went their own separate ways.

How do they show their intelligence?: In his previous home, Bandit loved to get into trouble.When his owner wasn't looking, he would take anything he could find of his owner's possession and hide it throughout the house. Bandit always thought it was hilarious to see his owner try to find the things he hid, and was always was very proud of himself when he found new places to put them. When his owner found the hidden things and looked at him, he'd just give her an innocent look as if he'd done nothing wrong. Nonetheless, she still loved him, and she even encouraged it for a while. Over time, his owner started to get frustrated with him taking her stuff away. Desperate, she started to give him puzzles for him to solve, anything to get his mind off of stealing her things. It did help for a while, but then he went right back to his usual ways. Even when she hid her stuff to where she thought he couldn't reach. But somehow he did, even with his little stubby legs. Eventually, she couldn't deal with his energy and mischief, so she decided to give him away.
Personality: Bandit LOVES to get into trouble. His previous owner had encouraged his ways at first, which made him think that it was okay to do. He always thought that it was just innocent fun, but he got confused and sad when his owner would get angry at him for doing something she was once totally fine with. But all mischief aside, Bandit is a really sweet dog. He is very social and loves people, as well as other dogs. He's also full of energy and loves open spaces to run around in, even though his short legs make him slow at most things, even though he doesn't really care. Also, he absolutely cannot stand being alone. He always feels that he needs somebody to keep him company, and he is absolutely terrified of the thought of being abandoned. He'll always get excited when he sees somebody new, and just wants to run up to meet them!
