prompt: Tigers are known (despite being carnivores) to eat durian fruit whenever they come across one. No one knows why, but it could be due to the fragrant smell the fruit is known for.

I did a drawing of a tiger eating a durian last year, it's like my favorite fact for some reason lol

zebra name: Orion
prompt: Saola (also known as the Asian Unicorn) means β€œspinning-wheel-post-horn” in a local language in Vietnam. Its Latin scientific name, Pseudoryx nghetinhensis, is also a nod to the species’ uniqueness. Its horns are reminiscent of oryx, which are found in northern Africa. Pseudoryx means β€œfalse oryx.”

prompt: The tara iti, or New Zealand fairy tern - as at July 2025 the population of these tiny birds are fewer than 40 adult tara iti and only 10 known breeding female tara iti remaining. Pairings will attempt up to three times if their nests fail, where each nest will contain just one or two eggs that camouflage well with the shells of the beaches they nest in.

prompt: The vaquita is the smallest known living porpoise - there are fewer than ten left in the wild, as they are often caught as bycatch while poachers seek the similarly sized and similarly endangered totoaba fish; however, their genome shows that they have gone through another breeding bottleneck in the past, and individuals are oddly relatively healthy despite their low breeding population numbers.
