Read the Camp Clear Pond lore about pumpkin carving below!

“Come, come. Gather around and observe, dear ones.” Samhain crooned to her campers, the group of six approaching when beckoned. Her eyes held a sparkle within them as she circled around one of the many pumpkin present, head tilting as her gaze flickered from camper to camper.
“Tell me- doeth thou know wherefore we must carve these?” She asked, allowing a few moments to pass of no answer before she continued on. “We must release them- they are trapped within. Safe, but they must be freed of their confines. A few exit points for them to leave will suffice, of course.”
Samhain led by example for her dear campers, carving away at her pumpkin until she could see within.
“Ah, thither they are! The precious souls they are. We must also light a candle, so they may wake up and find their way out. They cannot possibly doeth so in the dark.” Samhain tutted, dutiful in her work as she lit a candle and placed it within- notably without removing the insides of the pumpkin first.
The campers exchanged wary glances amongst each other before hesitantly moving to do the same with their pumpkins, Samhain eagerly watching over them. Only now, she was eerily illuminated by candle light.
“Very good, very good! They will be freed in no time at all!”
… Perhaps the trapped souls are ones from the missing campers? There were questions begging to be asked, but… did any of them truly want to know the answer? Rumors were only rumors. Or, maybe there was some truth in the ghost stories and alleged hauntings.

“Come one come all the the punking carving event”
Councilor Sammy greets you.
“Lets get started scoping the insides of these punks out”
All of the campers happily dig into the pumpkins, soon there is happy chatter and pumpkin insides going everywhere.
Just as you are about to start making your outline for what to carve.
An older camper leans over and whispers “make sure it is a good one, or the thing the corn maze will come get you.”
You shudder a little and go to ask them more, they just hush you and tell you that you will find out at the campfire before walking off to join the older foals carving. You quickly let your new camp friends know. And you all agree that everyone should make extra different pumpkins that let out lots of light. Since you're not sure if scary, cute or just plain wired will keep the corn maze monster away.
