you heard word of an unusually large cat seen hanging around a feral cat colony behind an abandoned building in a small town. when you finally arrived to the location, you spot her off in the distance, lounging in a sunbeam with several other cats. this is a first! usually mimic-cats stay far away from human settlements, but it seems this one has become a member of this feral cat colony, and mimicking a beautiful calico cat, she fits right in. other cats flop over lazily next to her, headbutting her, and playfully swatting at her swishing tails. she doesn't move from her cozy spot, but she eyes you carefully, and you can sense that she is ready to dart off at the slightest movement. having worked with feral cats in the past, you know you must be patient. you set out some cans of stinky cat food and various cat toys, and you wait for her to come investigate. you don't care if it takes all day, the weather is nice, and watching all of these cats go about their business is very relaxing...
