Brush Tailed Antelope - Colours & Markings

Postby flyteck » Wed Apr 30, 2025 8:34 am

Colours & Markings

Brush-tailed antelope come in any base colour you'd expect to see in horses, cows, or antelope.

Their markings vary wildly - most have some form of striping or mask, but this is not always the case.
Common patterns are herringbone striped (ie: example one, kudu, wildebeest), ticked (ie: bushbuck, female nyala), or horizontal striped (example two, gemsbok, springbok)

White markings can appear in any typical paint pattern, or as more uniform unders.

Eyes come in any colour.

For simplicity, this species uses equine colour terms, but colours may express slightly differently, and heredity is not fully understood.
