As The Nest's current Sky Watcher, Flicker needs to be serious. His job is extremely important and the lives of many cats resides in his paws. He can almost always be found stoicly sitting at the highest point in Base, scanning the sky for any potential Bird sightings or other threats. If he were to get distracted by a joke or a game and missed a sighting, the fallout would be tragic for the group. As far as the rest of The Nest believes, Flicker has no sense of humor, has never laughed, and probably can't even smile. The Nest's Fledglings have all tried to make them crack even a small one, but no matter what they do or say, he just ignores them without as much as a small chuckle. He was even like that as a kitten, the most serious kit in the nest from the day he was born.

However, Flicker actually loves to laugh, and make others laugh. While it may appear that he is sitting silently, his only thoughts of the sky, Flicker is constantly thinking of new jokes he could share. He's got quite a long list compiled at this point, tucked away in the privacy of his own head. Unfortunately he is a bit insecure, too scared that the Flock will laugh at him and not his joke, so he's never shared any of them. Maybe one day he'll overcome his fear, and take his rightful place as the funniest cat in The Nest.
