Canuck Sheepdogs are a small/medium-sized breed of sheepdog developed in the great white north of Canada. Closely related to the Shetland sheepdog, the breed has a few characteristics that set it apart from its Scottish cousin. Notably, it naturally comes in a rough and smooth coat, along with many more coat colours and patterns, some being entirely unique to the breed.

Canucks are a fun-loving, high-energy breed; they are primarily of herding origin and, as a result, thrive in dog sports such as rally, agility, and herding. They are also very versatile and, with the right owner, would be willing to try most sports if given the opportunity. They tend to be relatively chatty and love to spend time just being with their people and doing things with them.
