Ahh this guy is sharp around the edges! While making this fella all I could think about was the Surf's Up sea urchin so I guess you could say that he inspired me to make this sharp guy. It has been so much fun looking back at all the old kals and seeing how the community has evolved and grown since Kalons started. I can't wait for what kals I uncover in the next year as the archive continues to be worked on.

For this guy, I wanted to do something simple and silly. To win this kal, tell me how this kal would react to being stuck in an elevator. You can either write (250-word limit) or draw (1 art piece). This will end on January 31st!

I'd imagine they'd go stir-crazy and run around, creating so much static they could stick to the walls (and ceiling). It was a cute and funny idea in my head, but the drawing is... well... I'm thinking now I should've done a retro elevator (wood panels from the 70s-80s) to better match their colour scheme, because this feels sterile and SCP-esque lol. I still had a lot of fun!

Maple is... not great with being stuck with nothing to do. She would start by singing random songs. When she ran out of random songs, she would then proceed to do idle dances with the excuse she needs to stretch her legs a bit. Eventually, she would run out of that too. If that happens she would be pacing around the elevator pretending to be a pokemon trainer in the tall grass while singing the original theme song. If she saw anything 'cool' she would try to catch it. Really it's just a lone sheet of paper or dust bunny, but to her wild imagination its a new pokemon for her team!

And if THAT bored her eventually she would pretend to be in katamari damacy and start rolling around a pretend ball while going " NA NA NANANANA NA NANA NA NANANAAAAA!" I like to think that when the door finally opened she would try to 'roll' up her rescuers too laughing all the way.
